Worth for one night - good ratio quality/price

We stopped in this hotel for one night. The hotel was a former equestrian centre, but that was a long time ago.The rooms are located in small buildings (former stables) organised around a large central square. Hence, you won't hear steps above your room. Our night was quiet, no noise but that was in the middle of the week and not in the holiday seaon, thus the hotel was not crowded. The rooms are OK for the price. They are quite basic, clean enough. The bathroom was also clean, medium state. The breakfast was standard, of good quality with a large choice of items. WIFI was available but useless, way too slow even in the main building (lunch room). In conclusion: sufficiently good ratio quality/price for one night if you are ready to have a basic room and don't need an internet connection.
What a load of rubbish.

Run down, everything is either broken or poorly mended.
The outer door was broken so you could not close it and banged constantly in the wind.
In the bathroom the hand basin was broken and the missing clothes hanger not replaced.one of the overbed lights was cobbled together. The window sill was full of pigeon droppings and had not been cleaned. There were no draws or bedside cabinets in all it seemed to me that it resembled what I think a prison cell would look like.
Not 'premiere classe', but OK for price

I was very tired and wet when I arrived so was delighted by the warm, friendly welcome I received at reception and the young lady could not have been more helpful.
The Premiere Classe is impossibly cheap at €37 and so is little more than a roadside motel. I was allocated ground floor room 36, accessible from the car parking area. The room and en suite were very basic and the latter a bit cramped and the water in the shower varied between hot and cold, which wasn't great.
The hotel has a relationship with a hotel/restaurant opposite and I was given a voucher worth a 15% reduction in my dinner bill. I took advantage of the offer but the food was not great, although plenty of it.
Slept OK but disappointed with breakfast which was a bit sparse. Bought another elsewhere after I'd checked out.
Handy for an overnight stay if driving through and they have a bit of a star in the receptionist.
Needed a basic room

We needed just somewhere to sleep for 3 nights whilst we completed the final stages of buying a property in the area and it was quite suitable for that. I booked this on the internet and its as well I had confirmation of 3 nights as they only had us marked in for 2. It was clean, plenty hot water, beds were comfortable, but basic (although when my brother asked at reception for an extra pillow was told the only pillows were in the rooms and there were none spare). One of the lamps above the bed was hanging by its wire, so it was left off.
The breakfast buffet was well worth the money, cereals, bread, brioche, cake, yoghurt, butter, honey and about 5 or 6 jams. Coffee came fresh from the machine and was excellent.
Had a minor difficulty with the room key (we had a key as the electronic key pad was broken) as the lock was so close to the door frame it was quite awkward to use.
The Campanile across the road (at about twice the price per room) gives 10% discount if you produce your check in form and the buffet there is good.
We did have a couple of 'odd' events - came back from day out and after showering my wife found that her deodorant, that had been zipped in her toilet bag, had mysteriously emptied itself, apparently against the bathroom door judging by the white deposits there and returned itself to the bag. Two indigestion tablets had removed themselves from foil wrappers during the day and were found lying on the table.
All in all, it suited our trip and is value for money.
