Stayed a week late October,bonus was weather was fabulous.Had a room on the 1st floor overlooking pools was a little dated and some things not workinon going and I should think will be great once all is finishesg but was adequate.
The main thing I found to be annoying was the lay out of the food in the dining room.nothing seemed to be where it should be and you were constantly wandering around trying to locate what you wanted.
A lot of work in progress to improve the hotel is on going I will be great when finished.
However I do think they need to rethink the restaurant as they were not coping very well with restocking food and cutlery and when all work is complete I feel they would be taking on too many people.
That said it is in a good position and I did enjoy my week.

Hotel was being renovated when we were there in November. Our room was a suite and it seemed like we were the first to live in it. Very nice, a TV in the bedroom and one in the living room, a built in kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator and sink). Too little closet space for 2 people. We had all inclusive, the bar drinks were good you could get name brands which is very seldom in all inclusive. Breakfast was good, lunch was ok and dinner was a little disappointing. At dinner time they would start cooking meats on the grill first when the doors were open, created large crowds waiting for grilled meats. Selection was limited for dinner? Service at times seemed to be a little poor at times, it helped to speak Spanish to them but they were a little stressed at times (working 14-15 hour shifts). All in all we had a great 7 days. Good swimming pool!

This hotel is 5***** very good food we stayed half board the food was outstanding so much choice the breakfast was also very good all food was hot no complaints . The room was very clean we had a sea view no extra charge towels changed every day . there are some lovely bars round the area great place š“šµš

Lovely hotel right on the beach. Lovely views.
All inclusive was great, one of the best Iāve had with all drinks included (not just local spirits as is the norm with all inclusive hotels)
Rooms were ok, spacious enough for what we needed.
Pool area was lovely and peaceful.
We only stayed 2 nights as I was travelling alone with 2 children and there wasnāt much to keep them entertained here. I would say that the hotel was more catered towards older ladies/gentleman and couples, not really families. It was beautiful for the 2 days that we stayed but any longer and my kids would have been bored.

Great location, near the airport with sea views from most rooms. We had a Superior room facing the pool, the sea and the airport, lovely decor and so comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and obliging, excellent service from the bar staff.
AI drinks were brilliant, with branded spirits available to AI guests. Pool areas were great, always beds available and in good, new condition. One pool was heated. Pool snacks were not that good, but that didn't bother us unduly.
The only complaint I have is that the food could be better with perhaps more choice, also quite often trays were left unfilled resulting in queues, waiting for food to arrive.
Cancajos is really quiet, but Santa Cruz is walkable(or get the 500 bus) and is worth a visit.
Entertainment in the evenings was to our taste, usually singer(s)with people getting up to dance. No activities during the day, no animation team. If I was to return to La Palma, I would definitely stay at the Taburiente Playa, great for a relaxing holiday in a lovely hotel.
