Having stayed here many, many years ago (I lbelieve the owner was a Swiss lady), I was disappointed by the experience. The food was not at all good, the service was slow and unenthusiastic. Never saw a sign of a manager. Our breakfast was supposed to be included, and we were charged anyway. Could not get shower working. Lighting very poor in room. We had two rooms and it was a major undertaking to get reception to make phone connection between one room and another. The place had few visitors yet they placed us in rooms so far apart we couldnt; walk from one to the other.

Beautiful and relaxing. Wildlife everywhere you look. Lovely restaurant good food,with with great service. Rooms are simple and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. The staff was very helpful, and made us feel welcome.

The areal was nice, the staff was very nice, the food was good, the rooms were pretty big , only, the phone didn't work, we saw deers, iguanas and various insects. The pool is nice, there are parking lots and a playground.

This place would be wonderful, but it's right next to the busy road! (Probably the business biggest stretch of road in Costa Rica) (their road infrastructure isn't up to much!)
You can hear the road noises.
Perfectly suitable for 1-2 nights.
Food in the restaurant was just ok, but dated menu and a little bit basic.
Rooms were nice, air conditioning worked very well, but the cleanliness wasn't quite up to standard, I found a used hair tie in the shower stall.
To turn on the shower also was very difficult, very complicated and the water pressure was poor.
We saw lots of animals while staying here which was a highlight, lots of agoutis and deers.

While in Costa Rica for the winter, my husband and I booked two stays at this hotel because we liked it so much. The architecture is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and charming, and the grounds are so peaceful. Wild deer roam the property, monkeys climb through the threes, and herons spend the day fishing in a little steam not far from the large and pleasant swimming pool. Staff is friendly and helpful. I can't say enough good things about this place...it has its own unique character, which is what I appreciate about it.
