8th Annual Beach Week Amazing Again!

Every year, early June, after school lets out we spend a week at Hammock Beach Resort. It is our favorite week of the year.
The resort is family friendly, pool complex amazing and just steps from the beach.
Get a higher floor unit in the main tower for some gorgeous views.
We love the staff and the relaxing week we have as a family.
Pool complex does need a little sprucing up and that is in the works for this off season. It is still outstanding. Pool menu is a little pricey but food is good and it is convenient. A few less offerings than in previous years. I want my hot dog option back next year!
If you want to work out the Fitness Center has nice equipment and is included in your stay.
The balconies are beautiful and the grounds are great for a post dinner stroll.
Free putt putt and an hour of bike rental daily.
This resort is a great option for families looking to disconnect and relax. The 3 bedroom is really huge and the kitchens allow you to eat in when you wish.
We will definitely be back again next summer. You will love HB and the staff.
Awesome family vacation

We stayed here for 5 nights June 11-16.
We stayed with an 11 month old and a 4 year old. Our room was a "premium ocean view suite."
When I called and booked (in March) I was told that we were only allowed 4 people in our room and that the 11 month old would count. So if "nana" decided to go we would have to upgrade to a two bedroom. So fast forward to the end of May, and nana decides to go. I call the Resort (twice) and am told (each time) that it's no problem for nana to come and join in our current one bedroom room and that we don't need to change rooms. We checked in and had absolutely no issues with this.
Not sure why they originally said no.
Maid service was a little sketchy. They came at different times every day and never seemed to leave more than 3 towels each time.
They also do not have ice machines here and when asking for ice can take forever for someone to bring it up.
Aside from those things- nothing was bad. The pool and beach always had open chairs even though they were busy. The people giving towels never gave us any trouble for forgetting cards or not even having to show our room card!
We ate at the pool one day and ordered kids quesadilla and nachos. They were both delicious and huge portions so much that 3 of us split the two plates and were full! Even though it was pricey it was well worth the money!
I also had called ahead and voiced concerns about some bad reviews I had read and "Daniel" was very nice on the phone assuring me things were awesome here. He put us down for early check In (which was great and the room was actually ready at 2 when we arrived) and put us on a high floor so we'd have a good ocean view! We were in 924.
We loved our vacation and the kids very much enjoyed the pool area. Everything was clean and nice. Room area was updated!
Enjoyable Beach Stay, Though Flawed

We stayed multiple nights, and overall enjoyed our time. Collin was terrific at check-in - attentive, polite, personal - and the bell staff was very helpful as well. The servers and bartenders at the pool bar were very friendly, and the beach boys were helpful as well. Heads up - food and drink on property is super-expensive, and the property seems tired in some ways. And right now the golf course is closed, as is the oceanfront bar and grille. The sports bar could barely be convinced to stay open through the Stanley Cup game, so that was weird too. But our room had a little kitchen and a big view, the AC got super cold, and the beach completes the setting. Easy access north to St. Augustine and south to Flagler Beach from here - worth the stay, though it's not the Ritz.
Great property but really lacking in dining options

Just got back from this resort where me and my new bride got married. First of all the wedding staff was GREAT !!!! Lindsey (who left 2 weeks before our wedding) and Michelle were top notch and so helpful. Our wedding was great including service and food !!! Overall our guests loved their rooms and the property
The property, setting, amenities, activities, service, accommodations , and even the pricing are not an issue what so ever here. Considering this place is somewhat secluded and it's not too easy to get back to your car this place is REALLY LACKING in dining options, especially for families.
Pool Bar---has the best overall menu but closes at 7 PM ?!?!?!? and it ALLOWS SMOKING !!! yuck
DelFino's- very good food but $$$$ especially for families. The breakfast buffet was very standard stuff and no omelet station.
And then there is Loggerheads......OMG !!!! I thought I had travelled in time back to a Holiday Inn lounge from 1983. Menu selection is awful, food was OK, service was really slow, AND THEN it turns into this Gawd awful dance club on weekend nights, try watching the NBA Finals with a freak show going on in the "lounge"
Cigar Bar that doesn't serve alcohol.....enough said !!!!
The resort has barely any outdoor dining seating, nowhere to watch a game especially outside and very limited kids menu options. I don't think you can find a simple ice cream cone on the property.
We'll definitely come back but this place could be so much better if it knocked down some walls in its restaurants for an outdoor experience and expanded their menus.
Dishonest Housekeeping Staff; Poor Concierge Service; Tired Rooms

I recently spoke at a conference at the Hammock Beach Resort. It was an overall very poor experience. My wedding ring was stolen by house keeping during my stay! The ring was placed on the bathroom vanity in room 922. Very unprofessional and unacceptable. Also, upon my arrival, I was sent out to the lodge which was separated from the rest of the hotel. When I entered the building, the elevator was not working, so I had to trudge up the stairs with all of my luggage to get to my room. Once I reached the room, the room key did not work. I initially was assisted by Simon, who must not have programmed the key correctly. Because of the distance from the lobby, I called the concierge desk from my cell phone to request they send someone out with a new key. I spoke with Phyllis and she informed me someone would be out right away. After 30 minutes of waiting in the hallway (with no air conditioning) I lugged all of my belongings back down the stairs and all the way back to the front lobby. Luckily, Collin at the concierge desk assisted me this time. Collin was very professional and pleasant. He moved my room to the main building and even walked me to my room to ensure the key would work. Other than Collin, the experience at Hammock Beach was miserable consisted of dishonest housekeeping staff and poor customer service from the concierge staff. I would strongly caution against anyone considering a stay at this resort.
