TERRIBLE SERVICE

I have stayed in seven different hotels in Cartagena and I will never stay again in this hotel. This explain why:
1. I had to wait 45 min for my room at check in, even though it was 5:00 pm.
2. We woke up at 3:00 am because the air conditioning wasn't working and it was 30 degrees Celsius (86 F). After talking by phone with the lobby for 45 minutes, they sent someone to the room who told us to change to another room and at 4:30 am we were able to sleep again.
3. Even though we put the do not disturb sign at the door, the cleaning lady knocked our door early in our door and wake us.
4. After complaining with the looby they asked us when we want to get our room cleaned, so we told them that in one hour will be fine. When we returned from the pool three hours later our room wasn't cleaned and even though we called 3 more times to ask them to make our room they never did it.
This showed me it was not an unfortunate chain of events but a clear lack of service.

To whom it may concern,
On September 22, 2017 I had the pleasure of being a guest at one of your unsatisfactory hotels in the Hampton INN Cartagena, Colombia. The first day I observed the key to the elevator wasn’t working correctly. I couldn’t get on my floor and into the hotel properly. I replaced my keys over 6 times during my stay. I was highly upset. I never received my snack and they ran out of water to give me as my welcome. I received my water on the second day. There were molding and green and had holes in them in the tiles and nearly cut myself. The breakfast bar was poorly maintained and wasn’t prepared for the day. The rooms didn’t have soap to take a shower. I called 3 times before soap and and towels. Customer service wasn’t responsive at night . I called many times until I could get a answer. The second day I noticed the water would leak on the floor because of the drainage issue and left a smell. The water destroyed the tiles and bathroom area. I addressed the matter with the staff at the front desk. The type of customer service being provided at your establishment is extremely unacceptable and I am demanding to be compensated in the form of a full refund of my points as a result of it. This is ridiculous.

Everything was great about this hotel. The staff we're amazing, even the gentleman on the door downstairs in the foyer was amazingly helpful. The room was modern, neat, and clean. Housekeeping was great, and the soaps, hair wash were neutrogena! The fresh fruit at breakfast was nice, it wasn't really a western breakfast though. The location is also great, in a convenient location with restaurants all round and only a cheap cab ride to the shopping mall/ old city. The hotel has a roof top pool which is nice to use to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cartagena as a whole. I'm greatful we didn't stay in the old town, as there is next to no airflow through and as mentioned this hotel is only a cheap cab ride away. Wifi worked great in our room but was weak in the pool area like most hotels. All in all great experience and I would recommend.

Very helpful, nice staff who speak English well Newly remodeled to appear very modern for a Hampton Inn I heard it includes a pool I didn't have time to check out, but it is on/extremely close to the beach (I also didn't have time to check out beyond the nice view)
Hampton Cartagena is a Great Choice!

I actually have stayed in several Hampton by Hilton around the world and have always had a great experience. The Hampton in Cartagena was no exception to this rule. It was convenient to the beach and Cartagena Historical District (Old Town). The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was a beacon of happiness in an otherwise extremely hot and humid city!
