I was booked in to this modern hotel in Waterloo for two nights on bed and breakfast over Remembrance Weekend. Arriving shortly after 1.30pm on Saturday 11 November, check in was quick and efficient. key cards in hand and off to the lift struggling with my heavy bag and boes. No offer of assistance. I could not get the lift to operate and on the third recharge of my key card the receptionist on duty accompanied me to my 2nd flloor room, just to make sure the key card opened the room door! My room was bright, clean and tidy. The view of the rear service area of the hotel, depressing. The en suite clean and well provisioned. There was an iron and ironing board in the closet. A cleverly designed use of sliding door doubling up as closet door and entrance to the en suite. Poorly provisioned tea and coffee making facilities with not a biscuit in sight. A huge flat screen TV with remote (that proved tempremental), an alarm clock that had not been put back the hour from the previous fortnight from BST. The double bed was comfortable, the pillows soft. The room was air conditioned. The electricity plug sockets did not allow me to charge my lap top whilst at te small fitted desk due to there being insufficient space between plug and desk to facilitate anything other than the smallest of plugs/charger units.
Of more concern was the en suite and what I consider poor design, if not downright dangerous and a health and safety issue with where the razor charger was located. on the mirror, at the bottom, obscured from view and within a few inches of the tap over the sink. I was not even going to try to plug in my rechargable toohbrush for fear of being electrocuted.
i had a quick lunch which was reasonably priced but disaster struck with the banana and Mars bar calzone. The pizza dough was uncooked in the middle and the banana and mars bar decidedly un fused together. Back it went and an offer to replace it with a different desert accepted.
Breakfast on Sunday and Monday plentiful and buffet style self service.
My room was quiet and comfortable. Would I stay more than a couple of nights? i doubt it.

Great service from staff and only a 15 minute walk from the hotel to major tourist sites, so great location too!
Also two minute walk from Waterloo station is you need to travel within or even out with the city

Great hotel in good location. Easy to walk to London eye and other attractions. Rooms clean and beds comfortable. Large queues at busy times for breakfast, but otherwise very nice hotel. Small stores nearby for essentials and a few good restaurants close by,

Our second stay here, found it just as nice as the first time, some years ago.
We really don't miss out on anything staying here, good value for the money! And also a nice location, not a typical area for hotels but rather more varied surroundings with all that the south have to offer! And close to Waterloo station, we used the tube from Heathrow, a one-hour trip. Nice english breakfast, slightly hard beds though.

Me and my partner stayed here for one night. Upon arrival we were checked in straight away with no issues. The room we stayed was a basic European standard hotel room, the bed was slightly hard/not the comfiest. The bathroom facilities very clean and modern so no issues there. We had a view of the shard which was nice. Only annoying thing was we had a flickering light in our room!
The only big complaint we had about the hotel is that there was a very big queue to be seated for breakfast. It seems the restaurant can not hold the capacity of numbers in the hotel!
I’d advise going to breakfast before 8:30 or after 10.
The breakfast itself was self serve hot food (typical English breakfast)/pastries/fresh fruit/tea/coffee/juices/ham/cheese/cereals & a make your own waffle station which was a good touch! Plenty for everyone.
If you are wanting to eat in the evening the restaurant you eat breakfast at also serves evening meals. (Burgers pizza etc)
Checkout was at 11am and we were able to keep our bags in the luggage room so we could go out and explore which was helpful. - I would not mind staying here again for a short stay.
