Stayed at this hotel on a Saturday evening, it looked very nice and everything was great the staff, breakfast, the room. But the beds were absolutely terrible, I can sadly say it was the worst night sleep I have ever had in a hotel. The beds were rock hard and extremely uncomfortable causing me to wake at least every half hour causing me and my friend who also stayed in a separate single bed to have a terrible nights sleep. We were very disappointed as we had to be up early the next morning to be somewhere so we only slept around 3 hours all in all. Overall a great hotel but terrible beds, very disappointed.

Stayed here last night for one night. Room was modern and spotless. Plenty of towels, complimentary shower gel, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room. Bed really comfortable. Our room was at the back of the hotel but there was no noise and the hotel was very quiet during the night. Breakfast wasn't up to much but that wasn't an issue for me. There was plenty of choice but some of the fresh fruit choices were dry, the muffins were a little stale and the sausages and bacon were lukewarm where they were being kept warm rather than cooked to order. For the price we paid for the room though I wasn't expecting much from breakfast. I would definitely stay here again just for the fact the room was so nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has excellent WiFi and free parking. Well worth the £90 we paid

Room looked ok however one could see clear shadows of actions in the bathroom when occupied , through the frosted glass door , which I found totally unacceptable the manager said a few people had complained and if they removed the large mirror in the room it would solve the problem ,unfortunately it didn't as the light cast the shadows onto the plain wall!
So we had to look out the window in order to give privacy to each other when going to the loo. Not a good experience ...
The bed was an obedstead with an old well used hard mattress, I was given 2 old toppers but did not make it much better ,it didn't matter because the creaking bed kept us awake any way
To top i turned back the covers on the last day to find the bed hadn't been made just the duvet pulled up , my partner then informed me that he had to make it the day before as it was the same ,he had had enough so did not want to make it worse
On reporting this both to the duty manager and area manager
All we got was an apology and they would speak to housekeeping and hope we would enjoy our next !!! Stay better !! And they are due to replace all the beds in 6 months .
It beggars belief , I just wonder where the "we promise you a wonderful stay" quoted at reception , comes in
They certainly offered nothing to us just took the full cost
However we cannot recommend this hotel '

The staff and hotel are very good as a result of this I will be returning and would recommend, the rooms are clean and comfy with a good en suite however I would have appreciated a USB charging socket or 2. The ladies on the front desk are both friendly and efficient which was appreciated after a long day and they also sorted a couple of issues for me which were of my own/colleagues making. I visited the Sawyers bar and grill for 2 evening meals with a colleague which were both tasty and good value, these were chargeable to the room even though it is a separate company. However the breakfast wasn't as good as I remember from my previous stay.

Stayed a coupe of times now. Clean and tidy with a modern feeling to the rooms. Beds very soft which doesn’t suit my back but that an individual thing.
Free Wi-fi that’s decent. Breakfast is help yourself and is good enough for me.
Limited eating options and Sawyers bar over the road isn’t that great food wise.
Good rate through Hogg Robinson Booking service.
Would use again
