OK, But could have been better

We spent 1 night at this property. Check in was quick since we had reserved the room in advance. However, we weren't told at the time we checked in that we had keys (er, key - only given one key) to a double Queen room. Made a trip back to the front desk to request the King room that was available at the time we made our reservation -- only to find out -- "Sorry, we don't have any Kings left". This was at 5:20 in the afternoon! Very disappointing to reserve one room and get switched to a different size - that is why people reserve in advance!
The room we were in was in need of housekeeping attention. There was thick dust all around on the furniture - which made me question whether a vacuum had been run recently. Bed was fine, but we have stayed in Hampton Inns where there was much more pride in room cleanliness.
On the other hand, breakfast was very nice. Food was fresh with plenty of variety.
Just not quite what you would expect

The motel is in a good location and is probably the nicest in this area.....but they could do better.
No fridges or microwaves. Sheets were stiff and rough, pillows were tiny. They had bought the absolute cheapest toilet paper money couldn't buy ( about like 80 grit waxpaper ).
The desk chairs are only about 1' tall so you feel like a little kid when trying to use a computer.
They only left 2 small cheap washclothes and towels.
The breakfast was just a poor choice of food. Really wasn't interested in the 2 or 3 items the had so I can't really comment on the quality?
The staff was extremely courteous and the property was clean and seemed well maintained though.
In all fairness I typically stay in their competitors properties ( the have nothing in this area ), but for the $100 a night I typically expect a lot more?

This hotel is in a great location. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. I like how they called me after I got to my room to see how everything was and if I was satisfied with the room. Their breakfast is awesome!
All I wanted was a refrigerator and microwave

I requested a refrigerator and microwave upon arrival for my 21 night stay and was denied. I even asked Hilton Honors to assist and all they did was forward my request back to the property who had already denied me.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and were again very pleased with this particular stay. Front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. They were quick to provide anything we needed, day or night. Lobby and rooms were very clean, bathroom included. Free breakfast was good with a nice selection of options. Good night's sleep with no noise from nearby rooms is always a plus. We will be back when we are headed to Auburn again.
