What People are saying

A Wonderful experience

Wellanders on 16/11/2017 10:27

This hotel was excellent in every way. Easy to access from the Highway and our accommodations were great. We would recommend this hotel to everyone--our room was clean, quiet and our breakfast so very good and so complete. The Staff was so helpful with all our questions and we certainly felt "Southern Hospitality during our stay.

A good experience

We just spent 4 nights at the Hampton for a long-weekend stay. It was a very good experience for us. Several soccer families were there, too, because of a soccer tournament. Kids will be kids, but it got quiet before 9 pm.
The hotel, room, and grounds were clean. The room was comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hot breakfast was fresh and ample. We originally questioned the neighborhood, but found Abercorn full of restaurants and nice shops. For sightseeing, try downtown accommodations, with a much-higher priced room.

Clean Hotel.

I was in town recently for a half marathon and chose this location. I liked the staff and thought the location was good, but didnt realize how far it really was from the part of town I wanted to be, so that was a bummer, but thats my fault!

Upon arrival I found parking in the garage, they had several "Diamond Member" spots which was nice. The side door was locked... I had my electronic key but they dont work on the entrance from the garage so you have to walk around the hotel to the front. When you try to use the electronic key on the side, your screen just reads the guest laundry and then gives error messages. I brought this up to the staff and they just said its been like that since day one.. not sure why they dont move the key readers and fix it.

When I checked in the front desk agent seemed annoyed. I checked in online, but wanted to see if I needed a parking pass. She pulled up my reservation, didnt confirm information, name or acknowledge that I was a diamond member, just handed me my pass. I asked if I got my items for being diamond and asked for the coke and swedish fish that were on display, she just snapped "just grab what you want from the gift shop". This is the first Hampton I have had like that so was surprised, as normally they put the snacks in a bag behind the counter and give to you, I have never just been sent into the shop. When I left the gift shop I turned and said "thanks, have a great night" and she just turned away.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and nice. I didnt take advantage of the breakfast, as I wanted to try local places, but it looked standard for Hamptons.

My room was super comfortable, clean and quiet. I slept great. I was only there 2 nights and arrived late on the first night, so I left my do not disturb sign on the door as I didnt really need the room services and I keep my space pretty tidy, however, because I was running, I wanted some towels.... i saw the housekeeping cart down the call, and I just went down and asked for some. She was SOOOOOOO pleasant and sweet, and asked several times "are you sure I cant service your room or get you anything else, I can grab your used towels if you want" .. i assured her i was good.

All the hotel staff except from the front desk were super friendly etc while walking around.

I probably wouldnt stay here again because of the location and because of the front desk staff, but if you are in and out quick it might be good for you.

Horrible experience!

My family and I stayed here on the way to florida. I chose the hotel for it’s reasonable rates. Unfortunately, as we approached the hotel, it became very apparent why they had lower rates. We had to drive through a very, very undesirable part of town to get to the hotel. Once there, we we given a room right by the elevator, with worn furnishings and the most uncomfortable beds I have ever attempted to sleep in. It felt like trying to sleep on milk crates covered in a blanket. Beyond that, the constant noise all night of people getting off elevator, as well as the “musac” speaker located right outside our room, ensured that NO ONE in our room slept AT ALL. It was the worst night I and my family have ever spent away from home. A verifiable nightmare. No one asked how our stay was when we checked out. If they had, they would have gotten this review and some...

great staff

The hotel staff was great and engineering. I think there should be someone to observe the breakfast in the a.m seemed like there was a lot of Hilton Garden people eating off the buffet- How do you control this? Ms Grant in the Sales Dept was absolutely wonderful to work with. I was asked at check in if I was a Hampton member and they signed me up right away, when I needed help with my airline boarding pass they did not hesitate to help. Thank you so much for a great stay. Please try to clean your floors in the room the carpet was really dirty.
