The Hampton Inn in Athens is a good hotel. It is clean and the same quality that you can depend on in all Hampton Inn hotels. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. You must drive up a very steep hill to get to the hotel. this could prove challenging if icy/snowy in winter.

The staff are nice and friendly. The breakfast was good. The scenes surrounding areas are beautiful! I love the small town atmosphere! :) The only problem is that there is no commercial airport or car rental in the area! :( You can land at Columbus, OH, pick up a car, and drive there. It's about 70 miles away! :)

Very clean rooms and courteous staff. The pool was clean, the water was warm and the hot tub inviting. The continental breakfast offers the standard fare and is well maintained. We will definitely stay there again.

I made a reservation the morning of my expected arrival, and was really looking forward to trying the Hampton. I thought it was a little odd when I was told they didn't need a credit card to secure the reservation, so I requested they email me the confirmation number. Several hours later when I hadn't received an email, I called. Not only did they not have my reservation, but they were booked. I won't make the mistake of trusting reservations again at this hotel.

This site has updated the interior here and is now getting new TV's and better coverage for its guests. The breakfast and choices were good the staff was friendly and courteous and able to resolve any issues quickly. The room was very comfortable and clean the space overall was very nice.
