Excellent customer service!! My family did not have a reservation. We had stayed in new Orleans the night before and couldn't drive anymore.your representative gave my children snacks and bottles of water because we were checking so late. She was very nice and pleasant. Thank you!

    A comedy of errors!

I checked in on October 8, 2017. So much transpired that I will bulletize my comments below:
    • Room had the following issues: very loud popping coming from bed because of old box springs & refrigerator did not work at all.
    • Changed rooms – it was getting late.
    • New room had the following issues: even louder popping noises from box springs, air conditioner making loud crackling noises, TV too dim to watch at all. I got maybe an hour of sleep.
    • I reported these items the next morning and was assured I would be followed up with. I came back at 5PM and was told everything was repaired. Upon inspection, NOTHING had been fixed. I went to front desk and told them I was checking out and moving to Hampton Inn 8 miles up the road. The front desk clerk agreed to not charge me for that day because I was checking out at 5PM and assured me that my check out was complete. Note: While I was in line, a lady walked in off the street and said she needed a new key to her room. The clerk just asked for the room number and did not ask for ID nor did she ask any security questions at all. She just made her a key! That’s a bad situation waiting to happen.
    • 2 days later, the on-duty manager called me and asked why my room was empty. She had no record of the check-out. She was very nice about it and said she would take care of it.
    • A few minutes later, I received the check-out via e-mail and she had credited me for the first night too. I called her back to make sure she meant to do that, she said “yes”. Since my company was paying expenses, they expect to see a hotel bill. I asked her if it would be acceptable to charge me for the room but give me enough HHonors points to cover a free night in the future. She said “yes” and a free night is equivalent to 10,000 points. After I hung up the phone, I looked up the hotel for several possible dates in the future to verify her “free night points” statement. The minimum points needed are 30,000! I called her back and it went to the main manager’s voice mail, Vernon Gibbons. Due to a past conversation with him, I knew I would NEVER get a call back or response – I didn’t! (more on Vernon below)
This location is in dire need of remodeling. It’s the equivalent to a $50 per night hotel.
I also stayed here in April of 2016. The manager, Vernon, emailed me stating that in exchange for filling out a survey, he would award me 1000 HHonors points. I completed the survey and did not receive the points! I emailed him twice about it and got no response at all.
I’m completely done with this location and will instead, stay at the Flowery Branch location when I am in town. It’s much nicer and I didn't experience any issues whatsoever.

    Just a quick stay

I only stayed there for one night, to be honest i don't think i would stay for longer. Now the front desk staff was very friendly, the lady was always smiling and looked like she was happy to be there. She gave me my key and i went up to my room, now the elevator was a bit scary it made a lot of noise to get me up to the 5th floor. When i got to my room, it was pretty clean, not expecting everything to be perfect, but the floors were clean and so was the bathroom and the sheets. My biggest complaint is how old the property is and how much it shows. It is in major need of a renovation, there was a hole that was patched in my bedroom by the window, it was not even painted or any attempt was made to hide it. The walls had this old wall paper on it, and the ceilings had water stains all over the hotel. So if i needed a place to stay for one night and it was only $60, i would stay, but any longer or for more money then that i would not.

    Customer Service Above & Beyond

I really enjoyed my stay. I used the conference room for a business meeting.
Ashley who was running the front desk was swamped with guests checking out yet she helped me get the room ready and helped with beverage service. She was very professional and made each guest feel important.

    Right in the middle...

This Hampton is right in the middle of everything in Buford GA. Restaurants everywhere a huuuuge mall with theaters and a Imax. Easy to get to and withing walking distance of shopping and eating. Cheesecake factory is in the Georgia Mall....great food and fun! Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was good, just enough to get started for the day. The coffee was outstanding.
