Under renovation but great stay

The check in, parking, room, bed, and breakfast were outstanding for a place undergoing renovation. No problems whatsoever. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely stay here again.
Hampton on Poplar

Going through renovations, I would call ahead to see if complete before staying. It is definitely time for a renovation at this location. Good location if needing to stay on Poplar Ave. and close to restaurants. We felt safe as well.
They do not know how to fix electrical problems.

Tried to get a lamp plug fixed and it went from bad to worst. Had wire nut to hold cord end on ,ask for it to be brought to code and the took off wire nuts and used tape instead, Still against electrical code. I will never stay here again and I am seriously thinking of no more Hamptons at all. Water in Hat water pot for hot chocolate was brown, very nasty and no coffee for my room one night.Doors slamming at 3 am for 5 min. and I am not streaching it. The Worst Hilton stay ever.Use to be good paces to stay
Uneventful Stay during renovation

Hotel was under renovation but other than the elevator I really didn't notice it. I had two good nights of sleep and it was an overall good stay. If I am back in Memphis I would consider staying at this hotel again. The location was convenient to where I needed to be and provided easy access to and from the airport.
Very tired property

Apparently the property is just starting a renovation. They waited much too long. Would avoid until the renovation is done. Room was worn out, hallways were dirty. I stay at a lot of hotels and this was the worst in many years. The staff was fine, it's just too bad that the hotel was so worn out.
