This is a typical Hampton Inn, close to the highway, but no highway noise! They are renovating, so that may get noisy, but it wasn't while we were there. We did enjoy a great farm to table restaurant across the street from the hotel called Lucky 32!

The location of this hotel is in a great neighborhood. The hotel was very clean and the staff seems to do a great job. We will definitely consider this again when we are in the Raleigh area. The breakfast was good for a complimentary breakfast. The only thing they could have done better was to greet us with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies!

Aside from not having a shuttle to the Airport or a Lobby bar (after being told there was), this location offered the basics which I could have received at a much less expensive rate. There was construction going on that was so noisy that I was unable to rest after a long day of travel. I would have appreciated being informed of the construction prior to my stay. All that aside, the room was clean, the staff was warm and friendly and the check in/out process was a breeze. The breakfast offered seemed ok. I only had a muffin and coffee so it would not be fair of me to state anything further.

Tried to over charge us at check in. Had to produce email confirmation to prove rate. Rooms were a little outdated but clean. Breakfast was good. Remodeling exterior. Not a bad place but I liked the other Hampton off 40
