Just One Thing Missing . . .
Morris Ton 29/10/2017 03:50We stayed here en route home from the Smoky Mountains. After a very long day, we wanted a good, restful place to stay. The staff was very friendly & welcoming. The room was rather spacious & clean. We took a quick, easy walk to Ruby Tuesday for a nice meal. We enjoyed & appreciated the freshly baked cookies after dinner. The location was great---easy on, easy off I-20. When we turned in for the night, though, we were greeted by a lumpy, uncomfortable mattress, which was a real disappointment. We've stayed in numerous Hampton Inns all over the country & choose them because they usually are consistently comfortable & we awake feeling rested. What a disappointment. Our final 3 hours driving time made us even happier to get home to our own comfy bed. It's time to purchase new, better mattresses at this Hampton Inn.
Unplanned Trip For Funeral
Pierre Mon 23/10/2017 16:40When I came to Tuscaloosa I came on a sad occasion to bury my grandmother. When I got to the hotel then you gentleman at the Front Desk; I think his name was Jpan Alexander was very welcoming and when I told him why I was there he gave me his condolences. Just from the moment I walked in he was on top of his game from welcoming me as a Gold Member to telling me about all the hotel amenties. This young man went above and beyond and made a connection with his guest. I ended up stepping out for dinner and observed him checking in another guest and nothing had changed. I saw he was genuinely a caring and unique indivual and needs some type of reconigition.

J5956YKericcon 18/10/2017 20:56Had a great stay here. Breakfast was nice with Omelets and meats not just a continental breakfast. Very clean rooms and Quiet. Staff very helpful...I checked in very let and they directed me to a place to get a very late super.

latraveler393on 15/10/2017 14:46We stayed here for 2 nights during a football weekend. It’s about a 15 Minute drive to Bryant- Denny Stadium. Easy access off the interstate.
First, the good.... staff is friendly, rooms were generally maintained, housing keeping was good, and they have a few extras like popcorn in the lobby and free game programs. Breakfast is the standard Hampton Inn breakfast with danishes, cereal, eggs, waffle, and fruit. There are a few reserved parking spots for Diamond members.
Now, the not so good.... since there are smoking rooms in this hotel, there is an overall smell of smoke in the hobby area. The gym isn’t maintained. The one treadmill has obviously been broken for an extended period of time. While we didn’t use the pool, it was very tiny. We had an issue with our first room. But, it was corrected and they gave us a new one.
There is a Ruby Tuesday, McDonalds, gas station, and Arby’s within walking distance to the hotel.
Excellent Hotel from a Frequent Guest
CBREZE333on 15/10/2017 05:27This is a wonderful hotel all around. Rooms are clean, Beds are relaxing, walls are noise insulated, and the employees are well trained & polite. I am a frequent guest here, staying an average of 2 nights every other week. I have 1 issue; We have to ask the clerk for discounts that we qualify for. I feel the clerk should ask us so that we were ensured a discount if we qualified for 1.
