We had the family room upstairs which was very comfortable and well equipped with tea and coffee. Little issue with the hot water that ran out so not all could shower but there were 5 of us. Nice touch at the entrance was the choice of biscuits and drinks. We were so full up on Mikes recommendation of the Real Dorset Burger Company restaurant that we couldn’t eat any more. He was a good host and gave good directions. Thanks

My partner & I stayed here in early September, a nice B&B for families, just a few minutes walk from the beach. Parking right outside and an accommodating host.
We stayed on a room only basis, but had one of the breakfasts which was tasty but we were meeting family or doing different things on the other days. The other guests seemed to be having a good time and I think some were repeat visitors.
From our room we could see over to the Skyline viewing platform, which unfortunately got stuck and we were able to view the evening rescue, albeit in the distance.
Not really 4 Star B&B, it looked like the B&B had had a successful season and any minor issues would be addressed during the Winter maintenance round.
A good base for a few days away exploring the Jurassic coast.

Mike is a very good host. He can give lots of good advice regarding sightseeing in the area and saved us lots of time and money! The b&b is situated five minutes walk from the beach and citycenter, still in a quiet and pretty neighborhood. Easy accessible by car and also by train. rooms are spacious and clean and breakfast is really nice too.

We stopped off here while on the way to Cornwall last weekend and it was perfect for what we wanted.
The room accommodated 4 of us, and the beds were comfortable and the room clean and tidy as well as the bathroom. The place has a very homely feel, and it was a lot of fun staying there. I found the little touches like DVDS on the stairs and books very cute and cosy.
Breakfast was lovely, staff were very friendly and there was a lot on offer. I asked for poached eggs on toast and got fried eggs on toast which didn't matter as it was delicious, in fact later on in the weekend when I stayed at another bnb I got poached eggs and they weren't half as nice.
The gentleman was very accommodating and lighthearted to my fussy eating requests aswell!
I'd stay here again for sure.

We are 5 pensioner friends who stayed at Harlequin Guest House for a 4 night break. We arrived by train which was a short flat walk to the B & B. We were met by Mike who showed us our rooms . The beds were comfortable and rooms very quiet. The breakfasts were delicious and served by friendly staff. Mike told us where to catch buses and gave us directions to places. We had a good time exploring Weymouth , Dorchester and rode on the open top bus to Portland Bill. Thanks Mike.
