The hotel is located close to the hot springs. Staff were very very kind. Room was a little bit old, but had everything we needed. Breakfast starts very early so can be at Machu Picchu before the crowd when the sun touches Wayna Picchu mountain. We recommend it.

The family who runs this hotel is very nice! They pick-you-up at the train station when you arrive (common practice in Aguas Calientes since there are no cars). They take your bags for you if you want (we did not need it). And they were trying to accommodate us the best way they could. The hotel is not new but it seems that they have been renovating and are attentive enough to your needs. We needed to change the room due to loud noise form the first day and they did it without us asking for it. Breakfast is simple but it has fruits; yogurt and bread. The price and location are good. The tub was a nice after a long day waking around MACHU PICCHU. Totally worth paying a little extra to have it.

Don't be fooled by the modern bed linen in the pictures this hotel is DATED! And expensive for what it is but I figure that all the hotels in AC probably are similar.
There is no sound proofing at all so bring your ear plugs!

The hotel is hard to find. Im pretty contented with the room size although there's no ac (it is not that hot afterall). The linen is very thin which i was worried at first because of the temperature outside. The room and the toilet are well-maintained. I had a good sleep after traveling from Cusco. The breakfast served later than 6am. I woke up early so i can reach at MP early in the morning but disappointed that the breakfast was not yet ready. The breakfast is good though. Wifi is fast.

The property is quite dated and the bathrooms especially could use some updating.
This town is a tourist destination that many people will visit only once in their life so the quality of services reflects that. Prices are higher and service is less focused on perfection than other areas in Peru.
This hotel was not awful but it was the most expensive hotel of the trip [other than the Crowne Plaza in Lima] and offered the least in terms of comfort. It is not the best value but I feel that no hotels in Aguas Caliente are a great value due to the target market. I would recommend it if you cannot [or do not want to] pay over $100/night though.
The hotel did send someone to meet us at the train station which was a nice touch. They were there to show us the way and help carry our baggage up the steep hills and steps of Aguas Caliente. The staff were friendly enough and switched our room with ease when the toilet in our original room would not stop running. I really had no complaints about the staff at all.
Linens and bedding were clean.
