Stayed here for two Nights, not at the main building but the building across the river. The room was big and very clean With a very Nice balcony were we could sit and look up in the Mountains. The breakfast was very good, and the staff friendly. Would love to stay here again!
Lovely hosts, wonderful balcony view

This is a lovely guesthouse. We chose the larger South facing room, which I would highly recommend as the view from the balcony is breathtaking. The room was spotlessly clean with a large sitting area. I've read a few negative posts concerning the owners, which I find really surprising. They were warm and friendly, took time to chat to us at breakfast to ask about our previous day and to recommend things to do, etc. Breakfast wasn't huge and varied, but was more than adequate. The summer Otztal Premium Card was a huge bonus, as we could hop off and on buses throughout the valley, use the cable cars for free, and get free entry into various things including the excellent Aquadome. Would definitely recommend Haus Andre Arnold.
My Favorite place to stay

We love staying at Andre Arnold's. The staff is super friendly, the breakfast is fantastic and the rooms are large and comfortable. My only recommendation is bring your own pillows if you are like us and need more neck/head support. There is no fridge or kitchenette but in winter you put your beer/wine on the porch and it is perfect. There is an unobstructed view of the mountains (depending on which side you get). The local spa/pool is included in your room price and you can buy your ski pass at the desk. The ski bus stop is 100m down the street. I also recommend you plan some time in your trip to visit the Aqua Dome about 20 minutes away.
Excellent base for summer hiking in Oetztal

We stayed here for 8 nights as a base for summer hiking in Oetztal. It was ideal; Andre and his wife were excellent hosts, the bedroom was large, bathroom of a very high standard and all the decoration was very tastefully done. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of things on offer in a very attractive dining room. One of the big bonuses of this property is the Oetztal Premium Card which gives free use of all transport in the valley - cable cars, gondolas, chairs and buses - a very big financial gain for hikers like us. Highly recommended!
Central location - Terrible hosts!!

We came in a group of 8 people, right after New Years, having one thing in mind: to ski and have fun with friends. We had all planets aligned for this, apart for our accommodation conditions - or rather the hosts.
I would start with the good things about this: rooms were extremely clean, warm and cosy, towels changed everyday. The location within the city/ city centre was good.
Breakfast was terribly poor and hosts were very strict to using all appliances, from toaster to coffee machines and juice tanks (including cups and saucers). You wouldn't want to get the wrong cup for the coffee you chose because you would immediately be shouted at. Worse than in school when you got caught with no homework! :)) The feeling of being watched every second became a regular thing every morning, reason why it quickly became a subject for us to laugh at in order to soften the general tight up mood. Mention must be made we are 30-40 year olds.
Speaking about the general atmosphere, smiles must have been forbidden in this location as even if we came open heartedly, for some reason the hosts did not find it appropriate to greet us warmly.
I was lucky enough not to need a cup of hot water outside the breakfast hours, because rooms were not equipped with cups and kettle, not to speak of tea bags. Let alone coffee. No common room available either/ sitting room at reception.
Internet was very slow, but as our main purpose was to socialize, and have fun with each other, therefore I was not necessarily particularly upset about that.
Being greeted in German would probably make you feel part of an Austrian home - which is nice at the beginning. Not anymore though when you are insistently spoken to in German despite all your efforts of saying you don't understand a word. And considering the tone and gestures, trust me it was not compliments we were getting.
Getting to the slopes (installations) was 2 bus stops away, despite of the fact that when we booked we were told we are about 100m away from them.
And to top it all, unfortunately after Day 1 two of our friends had to go back home due to personal issues. Their room was paid for, but however when they left they handed in the key, with the owner's promise that if the room gets occupied in short notice, they will return them the money. Only a day after, some new guests came to the very same room (it was easy to spot that as the used keys we visible to all guests). The owner babbled something about switching rooms, but long story short, the Building proved to be fully booked and no money were paid back.
To sum it up, considering exclusively the accommodation conditions, I wouldn't rate this as a positive experience, reason why I would recommend anyone to take a bunch of good friends before starting any trip in order to overcome this kind of unforeseen events.
