We stayed for 3 nights in November. Our room was clean and warm with comfortable beds. Bliss to have a bath especially after a days walking. The walls are quite thin so you can hear people in the next room, but luckily this was only noticeable one night of the three. The buffet breakfast was excellent and served some of the best scrambled eggs I have ever tasted. The evening menu we found a bit overpriced and hard to find a healthy option from the slightly cheaper bar menu. All the staff are helpful and friendly. The views from the restaurant are stunning.

we are on a 2 day break and i would thoroughly recommend this hotel. i was unwell on the first night and got no sleep. The staff particularly the duty manager Jenny were so lovely, empathetic and kind and upgraded my room without charge to help me have a comfortable night. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. The location and view are stunning, breakfast and dinner excellent. I would most definitely return .

Hotel was very good and in prima location .
It was kept very clean and all the staff go above and beyond to make the customer their priority. And breakfast was excellent. Our evening meal was also excellent. All in all we will go again

We decided to have a weekend away on the spur of the moment, i normally book smaller, family run B&B's so was a little hesitant about a larger hotel. We arrived , found the place easily, parking no issues, the views are beautiful . Checked in quickly and found our room to be perfectly fine for the type of hotel it is, clean , comfortable bed, a brilliant shower ( the bath is rather on the short side , so cold knees if you are tall ) The breakfast was the best I have had in the buffet style, loads of choice.
Portland its self is lovely for a breath of pure fresh sea air and rock spotting

After doing a fair bit of research on accommodation in the area we settled on a deluxe room at the Heights as a central point to explore the area. In hindsight I would probably stay on the mainland outside of Weymouth when we visit again. That is not a reflection on the Heights just our preference on the island in general. The outside view of the hotel is fairly dated as is some of the interior decor but the views are what this place is about. On a clear day the view is amazing from the restaurant / bistro. The room was spacious and the shower really powerful, touches like fresh fruit and chocolates were also a nice touch and the super king size bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was OK but as we had visited a smaller hotel the day before you could tell the difference with the quality of ingredients which was quite noticeable. All in all our stay was good and I would recommend it to others but next time we would prefer to stay on the mainland and visit Portland for the day.
