Average location near the esplanade but 10 minutes walking to the city center.
Nice modern room with flat tv.
The shower in the room is low and unadjustable which is very uncomfortable for average and tall people
Free WiFi but they have a data limit that runs out quickly which you have to recharge everytime at the reception
The pool is very small
Good value for money

Excellent location. we hired a car so we could go a lot further out. Everything in the town however we could walk to easily.
The room was extremely dirty with dirty light switches, covered in gunk and stuff on the walls, hair still in the shower. We did complain and it later cleaned and we got a bottle of wine and chocolates I just feel it wasn't worth that much a night.
Cheap and cheerful

Stayed here for a quick overnight after getting into cairns late and heading down coast the following morning. The hotel itself is pleasant enough, but feels a little dated. Likewise the room, clean and comfortable but rather in need of redecoration and modernisation. Staff were friendly and we got a good night sleep. As the description says, the pool is really a big hot tub so don't go here expecting to swim laps.
Well positioned for Esplanade

I stayed in one of the one bedroom units with kitchenette & lounge area. Got to admit that I was disappointed with the grubby fingerprints & food stains on internal doors, bits of caked food on the kitchenette splash back and grimy bathroom tile grout under the sink area. All of which can be resolved with a good going over with a creme cleanser. The chipped crockery also needs replacing.
Other than that, kudos to the lovely white crisp laundered linen and comfy beds and dust free cabinets and shelves. Easy to use in-room safe, tv & air conditioner. Large wardrobe with drawers & the safe inside. The bedroom was quite spacious as was the lounge which also had a single bed in it. There was a little balcony with table and chairs off the lounge
Within easy walking distance to the excellent Esplanade and restaurants along the waterfront. For young families visiting, awesome Muddy’s Playground is a 5 min walk from the hotel. Plenty of space for parking in the hotel car park.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Reasonable priced hotel within walking distance of the main shopping area.

We had a twin bedded room on the first floor. Clean nice sized room with a small balcony overlooking the back of the building. We arrived late by plane after the reception had closed for the night, but that was no problem as the room key had been left in a locked safety box outside the front door and we had been given the code to open it. The receptionist was a very pleasant young man. We liked the hotel so much we stayed an extra night. I can't understand a previous reviewer complaining about the Internet only being available for 24 hours at a time, you simply ask for a new password, and as for the safe not holding a laptop or iPad, I've never visited a hotel that has such a large safe (it will hold a mini iPad incidentally.
