I stayed at HideAway for 3 nights and really loved it! It was very secluded and comfortable and the staff was a joy to deal with. Had an amazing dinner on Saturday night at the restaurant and the bar was really cool. The chef was very funny and accommodating and the food was excellent! A hidden gem!
Excellent!

We went to the HideAway Country Inn to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. To be honest, we were a little hesitant to make the reservation because the reviews seemed to be mixed. We are so glad that we decided to go and see for ourselves. We stayed in one of the luxury suites. I consider a 3 star hotel to be camping and I tend to be critical of any venue where I stay. This suite was amazing! The décor was beautiful and relatively new. The Jacuzzi tub was huge and it was next to a gas fireplace. Furthermore, this room was so quiet. We never heard another guest in the building. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves even though there were several others staying in the neighboring suites. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We arrived on Friday night just after the kitchen closed. Chef Rex saw us in the lobby and asked if we would like for him to make something for us. There isn't much in the area that is open so we gladly accepted his offer. The meal was incredible! The bar tender worked with us to pick out a perfect wine to go with Chef's dinner. Breakfast was so wonderful and tasty. It had three courses all prepared for you when you get there. I would highly recommend the restaurant. Chef Rex is a wonderful cook. Our housekeeper, Kelly, introduced herself to us and asked us what she could do to make our room more comfortable. She recommended the honeysuckle bath bomb for the Jacuzzi and it was perfect! Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back to this Bed and Breakfast.
Disappointing and overpriced

Problems from check in. Were told Wednesday (our check in day) there is no on site dining, same for Sunday. No black out days on web site. Room smaller than expected based on photos. Dated, rather dark, but clean. Gas fireplace on timer! Lag frame furniture covered only with thin pillows, very uncomfortable. Bed so high the frames was used as a ladder.
Told at booking breakfast hours were 9-11 (see discrepancy below). Next morning building locked at 8am; coincidentally, owner arrived as we were walking to our room; asked for 20 minutes to prepare, as staff member was later. Good quality breakfast; however table wobbly and needed leveled. No tablecloths as on web site.
Thursday dinner was disappointing. OK salmon cut and ok steak filet. No bead, salad; sides were medium warm mashed potatoes and luke warn veggies. Service mediocre considering prices. Assessed a $20.10 tip on a $70 tab. We are 20% tippers but this was excessive. Should have been no more that $14.
First time ever we decided to check out early Friday morning. Calm, firm, in conversational voice volume, gave some reasons why we were disappointed & checking out a day early. Two staffers left as soon as I said unhappy; desk attendant made no apology, offer or consideration. Said that breakfast hours are 9-11. So why did the owner not tell is were early the day before? Disputed paying for the 3rd day; attendant said only owner could adjust billing.
I didn't sign the final bill & asked that the owner call. When i returned her call, there was an immediate & loud rant that we were the rudest customers in 27 years (despite sharing with us that within the week guests caused $5000 damage to a room); i was on security cameras yelling & screaming at frightened staff; that the mattress was damaged; and our dog slept in bed, which is prohibited.
I was now upset and did raise my voice because it seemed as if there was zero interest in our concerns concerns; blame the customer was all I heard. I will say i missed the no dog in bed rule; however, our 9 year old, 6 # Chihuahua, who is blind in one eye, has 7 missing teeth, and a bad leg is hardly the Hound of the Baskervilles. We had no food/drink/sharp objects in bed and disavow ANY damage. Our dog has for 9 years traveled with us dozens of times and sleot in bed without complaint or incident.
Had i reviewed Travel Advisor and not booked direct, we would not have stayed. With about 1/3 reviews from poor to negative about the same/similar issues one would think that improvements would have been made. Our option is that you will be better served by staying elsewhere.
Extremely disappointed

Booked the cherry suite for my boyfriend’s birthday and granted it was beautiful and staff was pleasant, NOTHING WORKED, the advertisement on the website is false, and the add ons and room itself were drastically overpriced for what you get. I’ve been to much more luxury suites and stays and this one was the most expensive and least worth it. I ordered the bourbon trail mini bar which consisted of 3 small shot bottles that you can purchase in store for $2 piece, thankfully they were willing to cancel that order. Then I tried to enjoy a bath in the copper tub, which was the biggest selling point for me, and the drain stopper wouldn’t work so I couldn’t fill it up. So I gave up on that idea and tried to watch a movie, mind you the website advertised Satellite Tv, XM radio, CD player, DVD player, etc but reality is you get a TV that only plays Netflix which I didn’t mind but it’s worth mentioning, and the POWER WENT OUT. There was no emergency number, no other guests, and the office employees had left for the night so my boyfriend and I kept ringing the office bell and hung around the lobby until by chance an employee/resident came down to let his dog out to pee and helped us but as soon as we went back down to our room the power went back out. Eventually we gave up and just went to bed. After telling the office employees about our experience they only responded with “oh no, I’m sorry” as they printed out receipts for my check out. Never did they offer any credit or compensation for the complete waste of a visit, but once my boyfriend walked in to check on what was taking me so long they offered us a $50 coupon for a 2night stay on our next visit. Again, nice employees but not great business.
P.s. the website fails to mention the advertised restaurant is closed on sundays if you’re planning to dine, they serve picnic baskets for a flat $60 fee with the option of either chicken or beef
Nice setting....but.....

The place is lovely but ...
we arrived early as did other guest on sat night. All the guests were happy to just relax on the property while the staff got rooms ready....However it was very clear that the staff was super stressed over the early arrivals and made all the guests feel they needed to help the staff relax...ironic since we came here to get away from stress....
Dinner was excellent...however the service was extremely slow and almost non existent....the staff was not unpleasant at all just inexperienced and flustered.
Our room was lovely....but.....we seemed to have a major bug infestation..making it impossible to use the shower...which wasnt a great loss since the sulfer smell was pretty unbearable..( the garden room) upon mentioning this to the staff at check out...they replied "oh we know...it was bad yesterday when we cleaned the room...hmmmm
Like I said place is in a beautiful setting, food was wonderful....but....hard to recommend to others...
