Stayed here for two nights. Lovely hotel. Absolutely spotless. Great breakfast. Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Great town location.
The restaurant is okay if you want a plate of food and it's a lot better thank other eating venues in town. The steaks are great!

I travel a lot for work and it’s very rare that I find myself wanting to write a review on a hotel that I’ve stopped in for business.
This place is amazing. From check in to check out our visit was friendly, welcoming and comfortable. The lady that checked us in showed us to our own rooms. We then dined in the restaurant which was superb. I had the prosciutto and mozzarella to start and then the meatballs with pasta as a main. The cheese board to finish was excellent.
We then went through to the bar/lounge as we had some work to do and had a tea and hot chocolate. I slept very well in my spacious room. I have one complaint - there is a shower attached to the bath but no where to hang shower head from!! But you can tell a good hotel by the complimentary toiletries and Molton Brown hits the mark.
Breakfast was tasty and served with a smile. I’m sorry but I don’t know the ladies name but she was excellent (the manager we thought) if I ever have to come back to this part of the world I will most definitely stay here!!

Potentially a lovely place, I thought it would have had a bit more of a refurbish/deep clean after changing ownership and the staff need a bit of direction. They could have increased our spend by 50% had they asked if we needed any more drinks, or any condiments with our meal that was just put in front of us and waitress gone! Not once were we asked if everything was ok and we couldn't attract the waitress attention discreetly in the small restaurant where you could hear a pin drop (and everyone's conversations! A tip - add a little background music to soften the silence!) We would ordinarily have ordered a desert but went to the garage around the corner for a bar of chocolate instead!!

Really don't like to leave negative reviews but we arrived at midday for lunch then waited over an hour to be served our drinks and two hours for our food, which was distinctly average. It was not busy inside or out. The waiting staff appeared to go off-shift during lunch service which left one lady, who was very nice, to serve all the tables, take orders, drinks etc. Overpriced and underwhelming. We've eaten at some lovely places in Bourton on the Water, this was not one of them.

Had a lovely lunch here. The wait staff were attentive, well-trained and polite. I had a goatÄs cheese quiche with salad and it was just perfect. Very small, but delicious! The restaurant feels ancient and cozy and very charming but the amenities are up-to-date. Reservations are a must.
