This B&B is more like a boutique hotel. 13 rooms and large and attractive sitting and dining areas. Professionally managed. Comfortable, clean room. Nice breakfast. Close to the Historic Gardens and easy walking distance to Fort Anne and the town.
Impressive!

We had the opportunity to stay here for one night. The inn and the rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The open areas when you first come in are nice to sit in and have a drink with friends and relax.
When we were going out for dinner, we saw the owners in their kitchen and they invited us in to see deer in their backyard.
There were excellent recommendations for local restaurants, which we followed up on.
The bed was comfy and the bathroom clean and functional.
Breakfast options were plentiful and the food was great.
Beautiful Suite is a lovely setting

We stayed in room 10, a junior suite for two nights. Val and Paul made us feel very welcome. We thought the junior suite was well worth the additional cost. There was plenty of space and the room and bathroom were very clean. The room had the added bonus of being at the back of the house overlooking a beautiful garden which was visited by deer early in the morning. We were served with an excellent breakfasts. Not only were we advised on where to get dinner, the owners booked a table for us and one of the best in the restaurant.
Large B&B in a fascinating town

This is a very large B&B which limits the intimate feel of smaller homes. It's more like a country estate where everyone goes about their business and doesn't interact too much with the owners and other guests. That's not bad, just a different character from smaller B&Bs. The house and common areas are beautifully furnished. We were 2 nights in Room 15 in the Carriage House, overlooking the back garden. Very comfortable and quiet with twin beds, sofa, and coffee table. The bathroom was a comfortable size, even though the door hit the sink when opened. This room gets very warm with afternoon sun through the windows. The dining room is large and elegantly furnished. Breakfast was delicious and well-served. The gardens are huge and good for large parties and receptions. We enjoyed sitting on the side porch with books and wine. The town of Annapolis Royal is just delightful and preservation of their historic buildings is impressive.
Lovely Old House

Stayed for 1 night whilst travelling across Nova Scotia and was an ideal stopover for the ferry at Digby.
We were met on arrival and shown to our room by a member of staff. She advised that the owners were on holiday.
The building is fairly old and full of character. The fittings, furniture, etc. have been kept in keeping with this.
Room - I think we were in room 2. Although not overly spacious it was comfortable and had a lovely bed with good quality coverings and pillows. The room was cooled by means of a window installed a/c unit. This was more than sufficient for our needs. The bathroom had a standalone claw foot bath with an overhead shower. This looked impressive however was very impractical for use as a shower as the curtains surrounded you and left little space. Otherwise the bathroom was spacious with lovely towels and toiletries.
Wi-Fi - free and with a good signal
Car Parking - free and available within the grounds at the side of the house
Breakfast - there were 2 large communal tables to sit at. This was great for meeting people and getting useful information. There was a choice of 2 items fro breakfast but we both had the pancakes which were delicious. There was also a choice of fruit juice and a few other bits and pieces.
Location - an easy 10 minute walk in to town takes you to the local attractions, restaurants and bars.
Dinning - we ate in town at a restaurant called Compose (Austrian) which was excellent.
Many people of talked about the extremely warm welcome, recommendations, etc.. from the owners. Unfortunately, due to their absence (everyone deserves a break!), we didn't see any of that so perhaps this reduced our experience a bit.
Despite this it was a very pleasant stay and we would return.
