rockson 20/11/2017 16:46I attended a conference in Anchorage and stayed at the Hilton. It's right downtown and well located. Many tourist stores and restaurants within walking distance. The older hotel has been renovated but Hilton has done their professional approach and all is good. Of special mention is the Eggs Benedict and in the bar, the Angus Cheddar cheese burger. Another experience not to be missed is the 4th Avenue Station Bar/restaurant around the corner. Outstanding New York Strip and other meals with the locals.
Great staff and very clean rooms

Plumbing Issues
dma002on 18/11/2017 22:51Our stay at the Hilton was Aug 22-24, 2017 as the first leg of our Alaska vacation. While the hotel itself is fairly nice, our room was plagued with plumbing issues for our entire stay; the toilet clogged every single time we used it. Facilities, while prompt each of the five times we had to call, never could rectify the ongoing issue. The front desk offered another room the last night of our stay, but we had so much to pack to catch the early train the next morning, we decided it wasn't worth it - I went down and used the meeting room restrooms instead.
As we were checking out, I again mentioned the plumbing problems when asked by the desk agent about our stay; his only reply was "Well, it's an old building" and offered a voucher for a free breakfast. When I responded that we had a train to catch and had no time to eat, he said there was nothing else he could do (like reduce the price of our stay).
I will say that the two in-house restaurants were quite good, the room was nice enough, the bed was comfy, and housekeeping was excellent. However, even though the options in Anchorage are rather limited, I think for the money we paid, there are likely better options.
Anchorage Hilton A Grate Place to Stay
Randall Hon 18/11/2017 12:49Hilton is a great chain. I have stayed in many Hiltons over the years and they are top notch. Anchorage Hilton is no exception. From check in to check out it was a great experience. The staff at the front desk took the time to get my reservation straightened out (this after a long flight to get there) I was given two bottles of water and given directions to the dining room area. I had a late dinner in my room and it was outstanding.
Pleasant stay
SOOCrewmemberon 17/11/2017 12:45Nice hotel, great staff, excellent location, and a decent gym. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room was pleasantly warm despite the low temperatures outside. My only complaint is that the maids were a bit loud each morning.
