It is the fourth time that I have stayed at this hotel and although it is conveniently located for business, the quality of food offered at the concierge floor is not good at all. The coffee and tea machine that they have is very good but besides that, there is a very poor selection of fruit vegetables and no protein at all. On Thursday night they were offering mac & cheese bites...

Attended a fund raiser for Veterans by the GI Go Fund. Wait staff was excellent, and the food was quite good. The function was handled quite an[they by the staff, and there were no mishaps. Overall, impressed with the way things were handled. Outside, Newark Penn Station is a very busy place, yet we were only a few yards away, and any street noise wasn t noticeable, thanks to good acoustics. That s the Hilton touch.

This hotel is a dump. You can see that management has changed and that management really doesn't care, and the housekeeping and maintenance managers should be fired.
I am not sure if this is a franchise hotel, but if it is, Hilton Corporate I hope you are reading this because you need to remove your name from this hotel. I was here on business. I travel a lot on my own personal time as well, and I am a Diamond Hhonors member and this is probably one of the worst hotels in the Hilton Hotel portfolio. The rooms are dirty, like NASTY dirty sometimes. The lady housekeeping manager was in the lobby talking on her phone every time I went through instead of actually managing. The wall paper is literally falling off the walls in the the hallways, the housekeepers just dump their stuff and leave their carts anywhere they want (see attached photos, you couldnt even get around the carts to get to rooms and ice machines etc)... look at the condition of the walls, towels just thrown on shelves, there was poop splattered on the toilet seats and toilets, blood on the toilets, hair in the showers, grime on the walls, grime on the floors.
Also this is a loud hotel. There is almost zero insulation to keep you from hearing whats going on outside and even inside the hotel hallways, smell of pot all over the hotel and on the housekeepers as you walked by them
Also the hotel has a lot of shady people around it and even staying there. You will see in some of the photos that the housekeepers prop the doors open with the locks when they are on the floor. Some of the rooms are popped open for hours, and not just the door they are currently working on (I believe the rooms are vacant), but people could easily sneak in and hide, etc which is a huge security risk. I have worked at hotels in the past and this has always been against hotel security policy for the properties I have worked at. .
DO NOT STAY HERE EVER. You are way better off going to the Marriott Courtyard down the street or any other property. Hilton needs to send corporate people to this location.

Hotel is close to Newark Penn Station which is a plus, staff are very friendly and helpful,......building is a little "long in the tooth" as in older than it should be...rooms are on the small side, especially the bathrooms.

This seems more like it should be branded as one of Hilton’s lesser brands than a full tilt Hilton. At least what I️ am used to experiencing.
The rooms were fairly high end finishes of carpet and wall paper but the old hotel has ugly doors and fake wood. Just doesn’t scream Hilton to me.
The room was clean. The hallways and lobby also seemed that of a lesser hotel. I️ imagine it was the era it was built. This is likely an older hotel by the looks of it and assuming the era this whole development was built.
Great access to Penn Station. The airport and such.
