I'm giving our stay for my daughters bday 5 stars even though it wasn't perfect. The lack of any choice for our evening meal (no veggie option left) was a minor incident compared with how well we were treated and the exceptional service we received from everyone from reception to housekeeping and the LivingWell staff. Will definitely return. The little gifts and cards left in the room for my daughters 5th bday was the icing on the cake. Thankyou.

The hotel is going through a renovation and as such the hot tube an d the wet sauna are unavailable. The kitchen is also unavailable an the short listed substitute menu has nothing of essence to offer. The food we did end up ordering was below standard and expectation, we didn't bother eating eat after all.

The hotel was clean but basic. The restaurant menu was small but the food was tasty. Not sure how far the kitchen is from the restaurant but it took a long time for the waiting staff to get there and back with any requests we had. The barman was friendly and very accommodating. The facilities are good including a simple swimming pool with Jacuzzi and sauna and a well equipped gym.
I was awoken at 0800 by people talking loudly outside my room door which was them followed by banging and drilling. I immediately tried phoning reception but received no answer so I went straight down to speak to the staff. The receptionist apologised and said he would get the builders to stop making noise. I asked to speak to the duty manager. The receptionist said the manager was already dealing with something so he would get her to contact me. The noise continued so my partner and I got dressed and went downstairs to the breakfast room. After half an hour we went back to our room to collect our belongings before exploring the rest of the hotel and have a look around the gym and pool. At checkout I was informed that the cost of breakfast and parking charges would be removed from our bill as an apology for the builders making noise. I had still not seen or heard from the manager so I again asked to speak to her. After 15mins of waiting in the reception she came and spoke to me. She explained that the hotel had on going renovations updating some of their bathrooms and that the builders were supposed to start at 1000hrs everyday and up to this point had stuck to this agreement. She said that she has already spoken to the contract manager to ensure that it does not happen again. She apologised to me and checked that our bill had been adjusted as per her request. She also offered me an upgrade on our next stay should we wish to return.
I'm still shocked that someone thought it would be a good idea to start drilling in a hotel at 8am! I am still annoyed at this experience as it wasn't dealt with promptly and although our breakfast and parking was deducted, I paid for a room to sleep in which was unfit for purpose at the time.

I've stayed here before, this is your usual hotel, OK location. Due to an onsite leisure club, the carpark gets very busy and is too small, hence the later you arrive, the chances of parking are restricted. Rooms are well equipped with a good size working desk. The cleanliness is good, bed large and comfortable, the bathroom is large, clean and bright. Only slight niggle, the shower was very weak and looked and felt cheap.
Friendly staff and I would stay again.

Stayed here before and I wouldn’t ordinarily stay here unless I had to.
My room was dirty in the bathroom and there’s no free water.
On checkout there was an aged printer that wasn’t working and it was awkward waiting for the night manager to fix.
