I stayed at Inn for a wedding and when every table got served my table was neglected. We let the staff know and they eventually brought the food. My fillet mignon was rotten!! it tasted terrible! I thought it was maybe just the sauce and didn't wasn't to complain. I took a couple more bites but I couldn't handle the disgusting taste! My husband and sister in law also got the filet and they thought they would try mine and they were not even able to chew it because the taste was so bad of rotten meat!!! It was so gross! I cannot believe the chef would cook and serve something like that. It even smelled awful. How did this go un noticed by the person who cooked it? Two hours later I was over the toilet vomiting in my smelly room. I was sick for 3 days. It was awful. I won't go back.

We stayed at The Historic Santa Maria Inn for two nights. The first night they was only one room left so we ended up in a smoking room (didn't know hotels still had these). They notified us before selling us the room and said they would be happy to cancel the reservation if we weren't happy with the room. We stayed the night and enjoyed the restaurant, bar and hot tub. It is nice how many amenities the hotel has on site. The second night we were moved to a tower room suite at a discounted rate. That room was awesome. Plenty of room to spread out. The staff was very helpful and nice the whole time and the overall experience was great. The best part of the stay was that the hotel is central to everything in Santa Maria. Will definitely stay there again when we are in the area.

Rented 3 rooms at the Inn. In its heyday it must have been some place. We found it to be a little pricey for amenities by today’s standards. We had Queen double in newer section and s king and s suite in old section. They had a wedding taking place so it was very busy and we did enjoy the entertainment in the lounge. There are a few good places to eat across the street. So not giving a bad review here on a scale of 1-10 I would say 8

I was told that this place was nothing to write home about. i disagree. The hotel is clean and quite nice, the staff was terrific. They bent over backwards to get me into my room early (I arrived super early). They have a very nice restaurant and a tap room. I will be happy to stay here again!

My husband and I stayed here last night as a stop off during our drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
The hotel is lovely, nicely decorated keeping in with an old Manor house type of style. The bathroom appeared to be freshly renovated, the bed was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend this place.
