This was an excellent introduction to game drives & safaris, with close up viewing of all the usual animals guaranteed. The rangers were all very knowledgeable and keen to understand what we especially wanted to see. The Lodge & accommodation were well appointed & comfortable. The 4 of us (2 parents + 2 adult children) had a great time

The Hlosi Lodge is a nice located lodge in Amakhala Game Reserve. The welcome was friendly, the team helpful and the accommodation really good. One hour after the arrival we had the first drive through the reserve. Very good. We have seen rhinos, antilopes, lions, apes and more. Next morning we saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, warthog and many more. Our ranger John was excellent. Also the dinner was very good. I never would expect such a nice prepared meal in the "bush". Full recommendation.

We leave today after a fantastic stay here for three nights. We stayed in the luxury tents..my first experience in a tent ..ok they are equipped with bath..shower..double bed which may I add is so comfortable and comes with much needed electric blanket for nights. The views are spectacular and on safari well what can I say our ranger seya was amazing . He is so pationate about making sure our hours are filled with fantastic close ups with elephants.lions.cheetah.wilderbeast. warthog zebra impala ostrich garaffe and so much more wild life. My only tip is dress for a breeze dont be fooled by mild weather at lodge it gets cold out there. Ask for poncho it blocks winds. Our bar man was chatty friendly and the service he provided was always top class. The staff at the lodge are more than helpful and food was very good . Thank you all for my first of many hopeful safari.

This is by no means a small reserve. Granted, the majority of the animals have been introduced to the park but it never felt like a zoo. So wonderful to see baby elephant, giraffe and rhino. Clearly doing something right here.

worthwile to visit but don´t expect a great service - exept the rangers.
Staff is relativly slow. Lack of committment and friendliness.
Highlights are the game drives in the beautiful landscape.
We have seen all big animals!
