My partner and I arrived at this hotel to immediately find that the booking we had made was for a double room but for just one person. This was an error made by myself due to the company I booked through being very unclear. I would have been better to have booked directly with the hotel. However, my partner and I both felt that the lady owner was quite confrontational and accusing about this fact. I had no idea I had made this error and felt quite stupid for having made it which wasn't helped by her sharp attitude. The gentleman owner saved the day and I felt dealt with the situation pleasantly. Once sorted we were shown to a bright, clean comfortable room. I decided to shower before dinner but the water was cold and the shower not much more than a dribble. I told the lady owner who checked it and said I should turn the tap to the left, again making me feel that she thought I was stupid or lying. She later admitted that the water pressure was very poor and it takes a long time to heat up.
We ate at the hotel that evening and enjoyed our meals very much. There is a nice choice of food on the menu and the wine was pleasant too.
The bed was comfortable and breakfast very nice, especially the coffee.
All in all a pleasant stay that could have had a better start if the lady owner had a better attitude. Thankfully we did warm to her and found her and her husband attentive and pleasant for the rest of our stay.

We spent two nights here as we were attending a local wedding. The owners made us welcome the rooms are spotless with quality bed linen and towels. Wholesome breakfast, fresh fruit, cereals, full English and homemade jams plus more choices. A little gem of a place in a beautiful setting. If small, intimate, quality and homely are your thing I heartily recommend.

Just back from a 4 day visit to the holdfast cottage you are made very welcome by the owners Steven and Julie who are always on hand for whatever your needs it's tucked away down a long drive and it's very quiet and peaceful if you like your food big and plentiful this is the place to go because the chef Andy is very good and you don't get small portions there is a lot to offer with the Malvern Hills which you can see from some of the rooms and outside the front door with all the bedrooms named after one of the hills would not hesitate to go back hope to see you all again soon

We were made to feel welcome by Julie and Steve from start to finish of our stay.Our room was spacious comfortable and clean and tidy.
Breakfast was outstanding in taste and presentation.
I would recommend anybody who wants quality stay at reasonable rates to stay at Holdfast.

We stayed for 1 night and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is set in the middle of the countryside. If you want bright lights and city clubs this is definitely not for you. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The plumbing is somewhat eccentric and we had a bath, but no shower. Not a problem for us. The WIFI was sporadic, but it did work if you went to reception. Again not an issue for us.There are stairs to negotiate and we did not see a lift. However the hosts and staff were wonderful. We had both dinner and breakfast neither of which could be faulted, in fact the food was excellent. My wife has to follow a dairy free diet and this was not an issue as everything is freshly prepared. A super stay and we will definitely use the hotel again.
