Maraki67on 09/11/2017 02:12The hotel was clean and probably the best place to stay in Austin if you need to be there. They have a Restaurant that is decent to eat at. I Was there for business but would not visit Austin again unless business brought me there
St. Paul is very nice. I would stay at the Marriott at mall of America.
Clean, quiet but overpriced
wearmanyhatson 22/10/2017 13:44There were many good things about this hotel, and under normal conditions, I might have given it a better rating. The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant, obviously very busy, but kind. The discount they gave me for being a AAA member was laughable. The price was way too much for the area, and if I could have found a less expensive room, I would have. There's no free breakfast with this room, which really hurts them. If they've recently renovated, I couldn't tell. The carpet seems a little dated, though the rest of the furnishings were nice. The bed was like sleeping on a rock, though I understand it's hard to please everyone's preferences. If money is not a concern, I wouldn't be worried about staying here.

rockies16on 11/10/2017 18:02My family and I stayed at the Austin Holiday Inn in early October. The property has had some exterior renovation over the years and a significant investment in the restaurant / bar. Unfortunately the guest rooms are very dated and in poor condition.
Really not worth the room rate.
Bryan Bon 09/09/2017 05:24I am what the Holiday Inn people refer to as a Loyal Customer (IHG). However, I believe my loyalty to the Holiday Inn family has come to a close. Normally, we make an effort to stay at Holiday Inn Express properties. Same family as Holiday Inn but usually not as expensive. Our room at the Holiday Inn in Austin, MN had to cushioned chair to sit in. It did have a table and chairs to sit in. If you wanted to watch TV, you had to sit in a straight backed kitchen table type chair. That's not conducive to relaxing after a hard days travel. The room was simply a basic room that I would put in the same category as a Motel with a number (more than five, less than ten). The value simply did not justify the room cost. I'd be hard pressed to stay in another Holiday Inn.
6 Year Surprise and Happy for it
Kari Don 05/09/2017 14:58We stayed here recently while traveling through the State and was quite surprised to find it was the same place we had stayed at 6 years prior. The staff on the phone while in the car were pleasant and friendly and were as much so once we arrived. The restaurant food was great and we even heard a song from the band during it's warm up. But the room was very pleasant. The bathroom was large and the bed was very comfortable. However, after a long drive we wanted to sit in the jacuzzi hot tub and pool to relax and they felt great! Although we could have had a free breakfast we ordered off the menu. The only negative was that 2 of my 3 blue berry pancakes came out under cooked. The funny thing is that we did not know Austin was the home of Spam until we saw their retail window here. My husband loves Spam. So funny. We would recommend this place to everyone.
