We were instantly impressed by the lobby, it was clean and looked either kept up very well, or newly renovated! The room was very clean and looked new. The young guys behind the desk down stairs were very helpful with helping us find a good, local pizza place that delivered to the hotel. We would definitely stay here again, it was a great experience!

I found it strange at first eating from plastic plates and cutlery and the limited breakfast bar. However, it was entirely satisfactory and you were able to select a substantial meal if that is what you wanted. The rooms were clean , light and of a good size

My wife and I recently spent an evening at the Holiday Inn Monticello. We had made reservations as we wanted to stop and visit Monticello on our way to a week long vacation near the Great Smokey National Park. The Inn is only a couple miles from Jefferson’s home and very easy to get to. I had obtained a very reasonable rate for a King room and we were not at all disappointed. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. As it turned out we were only a couple of miles up 5th street to the Downtown Mall in the historic district. Staff were quite friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

I found my stay to be pleasant and quiet. The hotel is just off of the interstate but the noise level was peaceful and the location not bothered by interstate travel making this a convenient stay if traveling the I-64 route. They are doing some construction next door to the hotel which may hamper early morning sleepers in the days to come, but it was no problem currently. You might want to check this out before booking over the next few months.
The hotel lobby and grounds were clean and presentable. They have a nice breakfast area for those who enjoy morning eats. I'm afraid I did not partake, so no comment can be made regarding the food.
I found my room very clean and well kept. A fresh contemporary style to carpets and furniture the appeared well kept and clean. My room was in order. I did not particularly appreciate the limp pillows and was frustrated that they did not have a variety on the bed for different preferences. The mattress wasn't the best in the world but ok for one night. There were my only complaints.
I was at the end of the hallway away from the noise of the elevators, so my rest was not interrupted by hall noise or people. I was very satisfied with my stay and would patronize this location in the future if traveling that direction and just needing a comfortable and clean place to rest my head for the night. If you are looking for a hotel in the throws of tourist spots you might want to look elsewhere.
In conclusion, even though they did not have the room I had requested available when I arrived, I was pleased with my stay and would return in the future. However, I would request that they honor the reservations as they are made, especially when they are prepaid.
