What a blast!!I enjoyed my stay in this hotel! The staff are so amazing,friendly and very accommodating. I like the ambience, food and the beer at the rooftop of this hotel. I remembered the staff is always asking me if I have enjoyed my stay in the hotel and I answered him with a smile and big thumbs up plus the tip!!! 👍👍👍

This is now my go to property in Dar es Salaam. Clean and comfortable rooms and good food too. The pod is not really a pool so of youre looking for a place to chill out with wife and kids, this place wont work. for your short business trips, this will work just fine.

You don't expect anything fancy from a Holiday Inn, just a standard hotel that's well-maintained, clean and central. The HI in Dar is all of those things. We had everything we needed and the staff were great, both at the reception area and in the restaurant. The food was not bad for hotel food. The need was clean and comfortable and the shower worked well. It's a 10 min walk from the ferry to Zanzibar and a TSH13 000 Uber ride away from the airport. Convenient and comfortable.

I'm sorry having to write this review, all the staff of the hotel is nice, helpful and welcoming. However, the hotel is very old, rooms are of a decent size but they definitely need to be refurbished and the air conditioning (that is absolutely necessary considering the local climate) is noisy and smelly. Bathroom is very old too and carpet on the corridor (at least on my floor) is very dirty with dodgy stains all over.
I had a quick breakfast, nothing special but decent.
Needless to add that price is by far too expensive for the service provided, even though I had a special deal.

Room size is okay but the shower and toilet is way too small. I am a tiny person and found the shower too small. Executive lounge has very limited snack items nothing special or extra ordinary, how I wish soda water was available. Cleanliness is of African standard so it was okay I guess that is just the African or maybe Tanzania standard.
Breakfast buffet is limited I love that boiled cassava is available though.
Way too pricey compare to other holiday inn properties from other countries.
And shame thermal facilities are not available (steam & sauna) only swimming pool. The gym is tiny so if someone comes in stinky the place will stink.
