College Visit

The hotel itself was very nice. It looks like it had been updated fairly recently, but, there were a few thing that would have made it a 5 rating. The entry door had clearly been beaten up at some point in time. The only other thing wrong with the room was the register. It had a terrible ticking and rattle that would happen when the fan turned on. It ended up being white noise for us to fall asleep, but still, very annoying. We did inform the front desk at checkout. The breakfast was great and we will, more than likely, will be staying again when we return for a second visit to Adrian College.
Good hotel but becoming expensive

Overall, this is a nice hotel in a small town. It has recently been remodeled and looks great. The lady that takes care of the breakfast are is just as sweet and kind as can be. Our stay was pretty good except for guests slamming doors at all hours of the night. Of course, by the time you look they are in their room. None of the doors have any bumpers or anything to keep them from slamming against the frame. They simply need adjusting. Prices continue to increase at this hotel - up almost 50% from my last stay. Kind of ridiculous price since the only thing they have to offer is a decent "free" breakfast..
My second visit to this hotel... perhaps better than my first visit. A nice place to stay!

(This is actually my second TripAdvisor review of this hotel. I had written a review of this hotel back in 2011 after my first time staying here. It's interesting to see what my impression was 6 years ago and how it's improved a bit since then.)
My spouse and I spent a Saturday night here in October 2017 during a weekend trip to the Irish Hills area. Altogether our stay was nice, and I think we spent a bit more time at this property this time than we did the first time we stayed here.
The check-in process went okay, and our room (#308) was clean and comfortable. We slept pretty well despite not being able to keep the air conditioning on in the room due to the loud noise of the unit vibration when the compressor was running. (We like to sleep in a cool room, and we couldn't keep it as cool as we would have liked.)
It was nice to be able to use the pool this time, but I still wish it had a hot tub. Breakfast in the morning was quite acceptable; the veggie omelettes and biscuits/gravy were quite good... not to mention the cinnamon rolls that are a staple at any Holiday Inn Express you stay at.
Our check-out process was quick and easy... no problem there.
There's not a ton of lodging to choose from in Adrian, but the Holiday Inn Express is definitely the best option! I will more than likely consider staying there again the next time I'm in Adrian. I still think it's a tad overpriced for what it is, but it's generally worth it.
Comfortable beds, great breakfast

My daughters and I stayed here last weekend and did the Pioneer Wine Tour. It was very convenient to the stops we did in Tecumseh. The hotel is nice, room is comfortable & clean, beds comfortable too. The breakfast was very good. The hot cinnamon rols are so yummy, plus pancakes, eggs, sausage gravy & biscuits, etc. Typical Holiday Inn Express, you can't go wrong.
Nice Room, Good Stay

IN A NUTSHELL:
Pros: friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, nice exercise room and swimming pool, good location, decent continental breakfast
Cons: not very budget-friendly
Overall, I had a decent one-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express of Adrian.
Check-in was extremely easy, and the front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful, and courteous. I was pleasantly surprised with my room; it was accommodating with comfortable beds and generous leg space. The exercise room was small but had a fair amount of options, and the swimming pool actually looked and felt clean. Plus, they have a nice continental breakfast with lots of choices.
The hotel is easily accessible from local highways, and is conveniently located near area stores, restaurants, and malls, which makes it easy for those who want to get some shopping done without having to go far.
The only downside is that it probably isn't the best place to stay if you are trying to travel on a budget. It cost me $153 for a single night, which seems a bit pricey. For me, however, it was money well spent, considering all the included features and amenities. I felt like I got what I paid for.
