Disappointed - not worth the price
Erin Ron 18/10/2017 23:54Staff were very welcoming until we had a problem. Our room had dirty used towels in the bathroom and one of the two beds was not made up - it looked like someone had slept in it and then the cleaners just straightened it up. I was polite when I let them know and went out for the evening. When I came back they said "it looks like the cleaner was busy just trying to get all the rooms done and forgot to finish the room. We made the bed (tucked in the sheets) and picked up the towel.". Wow. Not even an apology and we paid 150 bucks for the room....and extra 20 for the dog. The dog left no mess, the hotel staff did. Our bed (the one that was made up) squeaked loudly every time we moved in the bed so you could not sleep soundly. Spoke to new staff in the morning and got the same indifference. Irony was, the sign in the bathroom of the room said if the room is not to your satisfaction - they will make it right. Guess that means they will pick up the dirty towels and then expect me to just 'carry on'. Won't stay here again.
poor value for the money
meljohnson2017on 17/10/2017 04:43Staff are great, until you have a problem, then they are rude and it's not their fault. Quoted you a rate for the pet room, then charge an extra $20 when you check out. Doesn't it seem reasonable to quote the rate INCLUDING the pet fee???
'Breakfast' is inedible.
Great Last Minute Hotel
RhondaOGon 29/09/2017 02:24I decided at last minute to stay in Vernon. I checked with the front desk and she gave me the rate for BCAA. She even looked up my rewards club number for me. She was the only person working at reception and very efficiently handled multiple phone calls while checking me into my room. My room was very clean and quite. I heard nothing from the hallway or other rooms. Having a complimentary breakfast was good. The only problem I had was the wifi cutting out briefly.

daniellakalluskyon 01/09/2017 04:23We stayed here as a little getaway after going to The Enchanted Forest and Three Valley Gap. It was perfect for a nights stay. The pool was great. The breakfast was also great. We didn't find parking an issue at all. We had a room on the 3rd floor (318). They did have two tour busses come in but they had it so organized that everyone was heading up to their rooms in under 10 minutes. The girl at the front desk was really nice. We would stay here again.
Good hotel, staff error
TherealrealPeteron 19/08/2017 01:01I am an IHG regular and this hotel lived up to all the usual HI Express standards. Nice clean room, decent breakfast, good staff (mostly). Hotel lacks parking in lot shared with neighbouring hotel and the pool was a little cloudy. Other than that only problem was a questionable decision made by the front desk staff at check in. Day manager handled the issue well.
