A needed renovation is going on at this hotel. Construction crew has trailers in the parking lot as they work to replace carpet and popcorn ceilings and more. We were out during the day so weren't really exposed to the actual work going on. There was some mismatched & scratched furniture in our room but the bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. (Although a topper would definately soften it up.)
Overall it was a good location for what we needed and a fair price.
We thought the breakfast was fantastic - lots of super crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, biscuits with gravy, delicious cinnamon rolls, and more. Complimentary.

We set a cookie down on the desk and started to pick it up. Hordes of small sugar ants took off! We had to look at metal tracks for future ceiling drywall also. We complained and they only refunded 1/4of Reward points used. We had to go the extra step and call Holiday Inn to get refunded. Came home and found sugar ants!

I was not warned that this hotel was under renovation before, during, and after I made this reservation. Once there, customer service was non existent, no MOD was available when I was placed in several rooms that where under construction. There was construction debris, dust and noise all over hallways and in rooms. In the first room, there was a worker jack hammering the floor in the room across from mine spreading noise, vibration and dust in the process. In the second room, it was still under construction and dusty. Third room had less debris, so I agreed to stay against my better judgement bc I was tired of traveling and had no energy to look for another hotel. The room ended up smelling like chemicals from fresh drywall that exacerbated my asthma, the room furniture is old/stained, and walls thin/could hear everything outside. In all the hallways, there is debris, dust, and workers walking around. MOD finally showed up to talk to me and was told the entire hotel was under construction and there were no rooms that did not have ongoing renovation. There was poor selection for breakfast, no eggs available, banana over ripe. I finally left early the next morning instead of staying the rest of the week as I originally planned. The manager that morning, Ron, was grouchy and did not want to discuss why I was unhappy. He needs re-training in customer service. I understand that this hotel needs to be renovated, but they should do it in stages where the entire hotel is not affected or close the entire hotel with a renovation this extensive. I've stayed at some nice Holiday Express and Suites, but this property is a sorry excuse for your brand and will leave a bad taste for future customers.

This property is undergoing a renovation and rebranding. Sometime this fall it will become a part of the Even Hotels network.
We stayed in a renovated room and it was comfortable, with a large flat screen TV and good bed.
The decorating features, like a pole that seemed to serve no purpose, and mood lighting were a bit different, but not a problem.

We stayed here for 3 days, which was 3 days too long. Hotel was undergoing "remodeling", though anything short of a complete demolition is probably too little. We booked a king through hotels.com and got.. a double. Mold in bathrooms, dirty, furniture was circa 1980. Breakfast is crowded.. with hotel staff. Consists of microwaved "meat" and some funky looking eggs. Also posted a 1 star review (room cleanliness) on IHG.com, which was mysteriously changed hours later to 4 stars. Interestingly, most of the 5 star reviews here start with "great hotel staff" or the like. Yup, I'm sure those are legitimate.. no could possibly give this place 5 stars in good consciousness.
