We have stayed here before but this past trip was a great disappointment. From the dead plants in the planters greeting you out front to the low cleaning standards around the property, it was a let down. I brought my two young kids who were excited to take advantage of the indoor pool. The water was VERY cold and the fans cycled continuously making it even more chilly but the kids swam anyway. The next morning, they wanted to take a quick dip before check out and none of the pool towel had been picked up, none were clean and available for use, and trash remained on the tables from the previous day. Breakfast was so-so but spoiled milk was just another indicator of lack of attention and/or staffing. The tub took 30 minutes to drain but otherwise, the room was adequate.

When w checked in was given a room that had not been cleaned at 4PM. went to desk and was assigned another room and the heat did not work. everyone was friendly and responsive when these issues brought to their attention. Nice sitting area near the office with comfortable sofas and chairs but was cool. We were told the logs in firplace were broken.

We enjoyed three nights in Blowing Rock. The motel is older but our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay again. Friends also stayed in the same motel and enjoyed it as well.

this Inn is very convenient to the town of Blowing Rock. Rooms are large and well appointed. Convenient elevators and plenty of luggage carts. Breakfast is OK, it will suffice to get you going for the day. Downtown is too far to walk but only a 3 to 5 min. drive. Nice lounge area with fireplace and TV. very affordable compared to INNs closer.
I stayed 3 nites and it was quiet, rooms made up quickly, and comfortable mattress.

It you are looking for a clean bed to sleep along the way as you visit the parkway, this will work. The staff was nice, the hotel clean, it was very busy in the morning at breakfast. There are two or three restaurants right next door, we visited the BarBQue one and it was very good. The rate was below $100 but almost doubled the next day since it was the weekend. We only stayed one night but it fit for our needs.
