We stayed here because of an early appointment at Cleveland Clinic. They force you to use their incompetent valet service by adding it to the bill. After calling valet from room in am, and being told they would have it there in 10 min, went downstairs and didn't see it. One valet was wandering around and then disappeared, I assumed to get our car. It was getting late, so I went to look at the key rack and our set was still there. I complained to the front desk, since it had been awhile. She left him a note after trying to call him. He never returned, but other valets arrived at work after another 10 min, so I went to complain to them. After another 10 min, our car magically appeared, driven by a guy we hadn't seen before. I told him we had been waiting 50 min and he seemed surprised. We were very late for our appointment, but fortunately they took us anyway.
In addition, the first thing I saw when we arrived was a very long hair on the bathroom counter.
Also the Keurig in the room looked great, but didn't work. Complained at front desk in a.m., so they offered me a free cup, but barista was suspicious of us. We paid $160, for God's sake, you could give us a free cup of coffee!! They also did not include breakfast free, which we expected, having stayed at others of this chain. They didn't take valet cost off the bill. There is no way to get it back now. In addition, there were several people waiting for the shuttle which was at least 20 min late. How are you supposed to get to Cleveland Clinic on time??? Walk. Or preferably, stay somewhere else.

converted bank building - not your typical HIExpress motif. Liked it - very spacious and amenities were good. weekday happy hour was a nice touch. close to everything downtown. would stay here again..

The hotel is right on Euclid Ave, which can make driving a bit of a challenge. If you can get by with just using buses I would. Call down to valet before coming to get your car because the garage is not close. The rooms are big, the food is good, and the workout facility is clean.

My stay here was awesome the young lady Alyssa Johnson was great in getting us the room we wanted and she was very helpful and professional!! Our room was beautiful clean and comfortable we will be staying here again real soon!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Cleveland Downtown! We had a lovely room with Jacuzzi and a full bathroom. This hotel was formerly an old bank built in the 1800's so lots of character. The room was large with 15 foot ceilings and grand big windows with a beautiful view of the city especially at night! We also loved the hardwood floors ... very clean! All the bath essentials were from Bath and Body, the towels were so soft and smelled great. The bed was very, very comfortable! We also enjoyed the two free drinks each (wine or beer) and small plates from 5:30 to 7 pm every Monday thru Thursday. Breakfast was adequate. Valet was $24 a day but well worth it; you could take your car in and out as many times a day as you wanted. City hotels do not have on the premises parking so this price was in line with other city hotels. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Also it was a wonderful location; we were able to walk everywhere! We only took our car out once to drive to the Christmas Story House. We enjoyed our stay and would definitively stay here again!
