Very comfortable bed in a well-equipped room, lovely ensuite with powerful shower. Clean throughout. Excellent that breakfast (cooked buffet with ample choice) was included along with decent coffee. Friendly staff. Put up our daughter at short notice for no extra charge, that was lovely.
Only problem was with the contact telephone number - being a premium rate and with no working alternative.(Don't know why companies force their clients to use a premium rate number to talk to them. We had to call them 3 times so not looking forward to our next phone bill!)

From the minute I arrived I was greeted warmly by the staff. I felt I was a wanted guest not an Intrusion,unlike some hotels. I was part of a large group but had arrived early. Sophia,Maria and Adam were at the desk. Check in was quick. I opted for the second floor but Adam informed me there was no lift. I looked down at my large case and immediately Adam offered to carry it upstairs . The rooms are small but have everything you need,including free WiFi. There is a pillow menu too.I went back downstairs to the bar. I was the only person in there at the time . There is a small menu which had a variety of food on there. I opted for the chicken panini, which was ok.service was quick. At one point Mark I think that was is name (duty manager) came out and asked if it was too cold. It was, and hiked up the temperature for me . They all seem to genuinely care about their guests. The bed was extremely comfortable. There is a heater in the room, which can be controlled. The room had an iron, ironing board,hairdryer ,tea/coffee facilities. Hot chocolate would have been nice too.The bathroom had shower gel in a dispenser. The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit,croissants. Scrambled egg,bacon saussages, beans and cereal. There was also a coffee machine and fruit juice dispenser. So a very good choice. I noticed they had high chairs and childrens bowls and spoons available too.I felt if you needed anything all you had to do was ask. No hesitation in recommending this hotel , if you are in the area.

we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a family of 4, On arrival things looked good the hotel looked fresh and clean with a nice looking bar area. We checked in and a nice lad explained the hotel and everything we needed to know, we had not eaten and was late checking in at 2200, he kindly explained that the hotel restaurant could feed us. We went into the bar area and found the menu, i looked at it and was a little taken back by the price of the food but accepted that as we was so late and there was very little other option. We ordered a Chicken burger, Chilli, 12" pizza, the food came to just under £60 including 3 drinks. When the food arrived i was a little taken back, the Chicken burger was clearly overcooked and tough, The chilli looked like it had come out of a supermarket value packet. The only bit of food i felt was worth the price was the Pizza. My honest opinion is that let the hotel down in my opinion. On the second night we ate elsewhere ! at approx 1 Am on the second night the fire alarm went off waking the entire family, i am not complaining as at the end of the day had there been a fire it would have been important, the issue i had was at no time either than night or the following morning was i offered a proper apology or any sort of compensation for this all that was offered was a faceless note left on the desk, even the girl as i checked out pointed at the note like it was some sort of apology. Breakfast was as others had reviewed on here i did not go for breakfast the second day as i was tired however my partner went and she said that it was very busy but the food was replenished well. My final gripe is regarding staff at the site, check in staff was perfect and very attentive however on the busy second night it appeared that the staff was more concerned with sitting in the back office than on the desk attending to their desk even to the point that we had to attempt to get their attention when we needed service at the bar. given that this area was very busy and also guests coming and going i would have said no matter what they was doing in the back office it probably could have waited so they could be good hosts. Would i return probably not as i really feel for the price paid i could have got the same for less at a rival hotel.

Lovely stay with the team... musta had over half the hotel booked for those also on the course... Hats off to adam who was there every night this week.. wish we was already back as a group... breakfast was lovely every day and great bunch of people in your team... from reception to house keeping all amazing and polite

First time I’ve stayed at this one and it really is nice, secluded and hidden away and yet friendly and easy to get to the town centre to pick up passports and visit the market. Fans in the room, nice breakfast and generally spot on all round! Well done HI!
