Stayed at this hotel during my Business Travel to Tijuana Mexico earlier this year. Service by the Hotel Staff is simply exceptional.

This place was a breath of fresh air. We came in from LA for a family get together. Walking into the lobby, I sighed in relief that I had picked the right place.. It was clean and safe.
Carols C - Operations Manger - was so welcoming and gave us a nice room, early check in and was so friendly and helpful. We checked in early. Tell him I said hello
The staff was top notch, polite, always smiling and saying hello. The room was spotless,!!! The view wasnt even half bad. The beds were comfy.
Breakfast in the AM was delicious. Lots of options.
All in all this is a great bang for your buck

The hotel was clean and nice. Front desk was very helpful. Staff friendly and very accommodating, best for are week of different hotel stays. Hot tub nice and swimming pool refreshing. Breakfast served and some are changed from day to day

The staff were fabulous at this hotel. The breakfast was also fabulous (compared to all the other hotels on our trip it was the best). The general atmosphere of the hotel is relaxed and comfortable. Our room was spacious and clean. I felt the hotel needed a bit of a refurb. Our bed creaked like it was very old. There was a lot of noise from the room above us - it sounded like the bath/toilet were right over our heads as we lay in bed. Our room was damp (is this because we kept the air con off? We are from the UK and don't really understand air con ;-) ) and all our clothes were damp too. The area is not pretty but it seems safe. There is a grocery store next door, a Denny's across the lot, and a mall a couple of blocks over. We were about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown outside of rush hour. Despite the few things that weren't perfect we had a lovely stay here and were very fond of this hotel.

Excellent and extremely nice staff and well appointed public areas. Wonderful on-site parking. Breakfast was above average for a Holiday Inn Express. Very close to the Blue Line Metro, but concerns over walking in the neighborhood at night sent us to uber for our trips to and from downtown.
However, the room itself was billed as an Executive King and it was probably one of the worse of this classification we've encountered at a HI Express. While the overall room and bathroom were clean, there was a huge stain on the carpet as you walked in the door. There was really no extra space in the room and the frig never worked 100% even after it was checked out by maintenance. Additionally, the internet was out of service at various times during our stay. All this was disappointing as the hotel has potential, especially with its exceptional front desk staff, but not enough at this time for a better review.
With its staff, value, convenient location and on-site parking I hope this property is able to improve and I would consider giving it another try in the future.
