Dont have anything bad to say about this hotel. It was clean, breakfast was lovely. Stayed the night before drayton manor and it was great. Slept well. Family of 5 in one room and we where all comfortable

Excellent location. Free parking...we were there for 2 nights and did not have to move the car as it was only about a 10 minute walk (at most) over the bridge and into the town centre via the castle.
We had a special rate of £94 for 2 nights incl breakfast...Which was very good value.
On the 'down-side' I would NOT recommend having an evening meal in the restaurant. Very basic & very over-priced....However they do allow you to order a 'take-away' and eat it in the hotel...which is quite a nice gesture.
We would definitely return if the price was right.

I stayed here on the 14th October for work. Really good service specially as we were a large group of 15 rooms. The beds are really comfy and the room was spotless.
The showers in the rooms are fantastic, this is the 2nd time I have stayed here and not had a bad shower yet. I’d almost say the best showers I’ve had in a hotel.
Breakfast was included in the room and this isn’t bad seeming it is free. You can eat as much as you want so can’t complain about it being very basic, I kept going back for more bacon. Would be better if they had fried eggs instead of scrambled but that’s a personal choice.

Stayed just the one night here. A fairly new build by the looks of things. Located a short walk from the town centre across a pedestrian footbridge. Free parking too and nice views from my room at least.
Check in was very quick and efficient. No queue. Small bar and reception area which doubles up as the breakfast area.
I had a family room which would have been a bit tight for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Double bed and sofa bed. Nice big bathroom with great powerful shower. TV desk chair and tea/coffee facilities. Good blackout curtains. POOR sound proofing. I could hear other guests walking along the corridor and opening doors/talking etc. That to me was annoying and would be the only reason I wouldn't return unless the price point was spot on. Talking of which. 42 for a double with breakfast.
Bed was ok, firm. Reasonable quality bedding. Towels adequate.
Breakfast was buffet style. It was busy. A reasonable selection. Hot food - scrambled eggs sausage bacon beans. Toast facilities and plenty of hot drinks.
Ice machine and snack vending also in the reception. Small selection of draught beers.
On the whole a reasonable stay fora no frills basic hotel. Service was good as was the breakfast. Sound proofing let it down.
If i had to stay in Tamworth again I would consider the Holiday Inn for sure.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows and the duvet. The room and indeed the parts of the hotel we saw were spotlessly clean. Breakfast is free and was lovely, eat as much as you want. Hubby enjoyed his full English breakfast. The hotel has a bar area which is lovely because we arrived at the hotel late and were able to socialise with our friends later in the evening. I must mention the shower. It's huge and I didn't want to get out. I wish more hotels had a shower that you can remove to wash everywhere. In fact a lot of the hotels at the cheaper end of the market would do well to stay in this Holiday inn express, they could learn a lot. This hotel is without doubt one of the best ones I have stayed in.
