This is a great hotel. The staff is so friendly and the place is spotless. The beds are so comfy and breakfast hot and fresh. Nice pool and hot tub. Would surely stay here again. The mall is a close cab ride. Everything works and the water is hot. They even have hot beverages ready and waiting.

We were there for several days. This is a new hotel. The amenities, decor were exceptional!!!! Special shoutout to Justin! When we arrived our room had been upgraded to a suite BUT it was located in the front of the building, facing a very busy, very loud Route 1. Justin graciously relocated us to a room in the back of the hotel even though we lost our upgrade (not a big issue!!!). The breakfast was superb - definitely the best of any hotel. The room (standard) was spacious. Bathroom was large and easily navigated. Bed was extremely comfortable. Again ask for a room in the rear of the hotel (and even number room will be your clue). The only fault is it is a bit dicey to get on to the property from Route 1 northbound. There is only one way to access it and if you miss it, you have to do a major turnaround to go back.

We spent the night here so we could drive the next morning into Manhattan to catch our cruise. It is so much cheaper then trying to stay any closer. This was perfect, even with New York City traffic we got here in a little over an hour.
As for the hotel:
Pros:
The hotel is in great shape, newly redone, very clean with a modern feel.
Lots of places in your room to plug things in, to include usb ports.
The breakfast room is great, you have a seating area that will seat 34 and then you have a room where the food is (the food is the same as all hie hotels, I wish they would change it up a bit for those of us who stay only with them, that food gets old)
The staff is amazing! Dressed like its a 4 star hotel. Friendly and very helpful. I was truely impressed with them.
They have a pool, hot tub and a small gym. But I have to be honest, we never went in.
Cons:
The hotel is right on route 1, I can imagine that out can get a bit loud. (We didn't have any issues)
The entrance to this hotel can be difficult. The road system is crazy! It's a one way entrance so watch closely and be in the far right lane on route one. Cause if you miss it.... you have to drive a ways down the road to find a place to turn around, then toy have to drive a ways past the hotel to find another place to turn around again. It's terrible!
No place to eat close by. The best places to eat are back in the direction you probably came. So you have to make that crazy turn around crap to find a place. (The guys at the front desk can give you delivery names)
Tip: ice machines are only on the 3 & 4th floors. Three is also a very small store by the front desk that has some food and toiletries for sale.

We drove all the way from St. Louis to NJ and picked this hotel because they have a hot tub and when we arrived there, the hot tub isn't working. We booked the hotel two weeks before our arrival. My husband complained about the hot tub working to the receptionist and all the receptionist had to say was well all hotels were booked and we were lucky to have a place to stay. How rude! About the room, it looked very nice and spacious... however when we pulled down the comforter, there was some hair on the sheets. We were so tired to complain and have the sheets changed so we just removed the hair from the bed ourselves. We also requested for extra toiletries and towels and they said they will bring it to our room and looks like they forgot to provide that as well. I am not staying in this Holiday inn express anymore simply because of the customer service that they provide is very poor. I would say I am disappointed.

Hotel was clean and modern, with clean room and bathroom, nice dining and lobby area. AC controls, lighting controls and electrical/USB outlets all well layed out. Bathroom was nice and clean with very little wear. Staff courteous and helpful. Overall a good HI Express. Two minor issues: First, the hotel is close to the highway and road noise was annoying (ask for a room on the back of the hotel, noise would be less of an issue). Second, the entrance to the property is on a major 6 lane limited access highway, just as it transitions to local road. It is easy to miss the entrance, need to be in right lane and then cross over a merging entrance lane to get to it. If you miss it, good luck getting back to it since it is only accessible from one direction.
