pili429on 10/11/2017 20:31People not nice, breakfast servers rude, rooms Ok, only one of the 3 rooms in the same floor got sleepers ,rope and complimentary waters. Front desk customer service super nice, we did not like the hotel, we all had complains in different days and situations. We would not recommend this hotel, sorry
Good hotel for reasonable price
Inese Bon 27/10/2017 16:00This hotel is situated not near the center of Genoa. You can get there by metro or bus just in 10 minutes. It is situated near port and near the road, but the audibility of it is not high. Hotel is rahter calm and quite place. Staff is helpful (however some are more than others - it depends which person you will meet). Room was very clean. You can use teapot and make some tea. Bathroom is ok, but didn't like that shower don't have door - only a glass screen (floor gets wet fast and not easy to wash hear). As well hairdryer was terrible - it turned off by itself after some minutes of usage and you have to wait a minute or two before it starts work again (as we stayed only one night - didn't report to hotel staff). It took a lot of time to dry my thick hair.
As well there were a problem with towels and shampoo - shampoo was for one person (we were 3!) and towels only for 2. Breakfast was ok - it is possible to find something you like. Can make good coffee, "juice" was terrrible - too sweet like limonade.
Clean, comfortable but not close to downtown
skye bon 23/10/2017 02:39We had transportation for the week while we were there so was not a problem but to walk to downtown anywhere was several km away. That said, rooms were clean and comfortable but the bar closed waaaay tooo early with guests still in the lobby every night.
Ok, if you must stay in Genoa
mishdnzon 09/09/2017 17:05Ok, so it was a last minute booking, and we arrived at 11:15pm. But a little bit of charm at check-in would have gone a very long way. Car park access was a real challenge - the main park was apparently full, although it didn't look it, so we had a convoluted drive around Genoa to get to a badly sign posted, seriously steep curved access ramp and park on a rooftop,. Then had to wait 10 minutes for a buzzer to be answered to let us in. To be fair when we addressed this at checkout they deducted the parking charge. Breakfast was included, standard 2 star fair, but enough to refuel before we hit the autostrada. Rooms were fine, reasonably spacious, and clean. So overall, our experience would have been completely different if the young lady on reception had been in any way welcoming, and had explained things clearly.

Would definitely visit the Holiday Inn Genoa City again.
