Stopover last week prived well worthwhile. We had booked a dog friendly room ( £20.00 extra which is quite normal). Ideally situated near motorways and with a ruverside walk behind the hotel ensures canines will be able to mooch when necessary. Rooms are ideal, large with comfirtable beds and seating area. Bathrooms well structured with walk in shower. On site restuarant serves good value good quality food and a reasonable dinner menu. Breakfast buffet very good. Nice welcome from student trainee on reception when we arrived and very friendly people orientated staff in restaurant area. Elevstor helpful if you dont want to ascend drscend stairs to rooms.

After speaking with a member of staff and agreeing that I would be on a 3 month contract, they did not inform me this would be a rolling contract however after the three months I spoke with a member of staff to cancel my membership and they said it had all gone through. They robbing company has now charged me for a month when I did not use the facility at all. I'm a student who would of returned in the summer however after this incident I will be using the much better 315 gym which is across the road for the same amount of money and the customer service is much better!!!

I had a horrible experience at this Holiday Inn in Lancaster. I joined the gym to only to find it dirty, overpriced and badly equipped. When trying to cancel the membership I found the manager very unhelpful and rude. I would not recommend!!!

We stayed there recently as we were visiting the local area. As we were using public transport, we specifically chose this hotel as it stated it had a bus stop right outside. Which it did... but there were no buses than ran past the hotel after 5pm. It meant a taxi ride (around £7 each way) to and from the bus station, but despite that we will be back.
Great food, excellent customer service and a lovely room.

Stopped overnight here to ease long distance travel. The location is very convenient to the M6 and easy to find. We were warmly welcomed by friendly hotel staff and made to feel wanted. Sadly the warmth didn't quite to extend to our spacious double room which was a trifle cool at our mid-afternoon arrival. What looked like air-con was actually only a cooler. The room radiator was warm, but the room didn't really heat up until early evening. Note for designers: don't locate a radiator so that it gets covered up by heavy floor length curtains.
The hotel bar area was well equipped for both business and leisure travellers. The minimalist restaurant served a well cooked and presented evening meal from a reasonable menu, and buffet breakfast was quite generous. Unfortunately we did have a couple of issues with the evening meal but, to his credit, the Maitre d' handled the matter with high professionalism, leaving us impressed both with his understanding and also the Background of IHG Group training. Things sometimes can go wrong and how they are dealt with makes all the difference. As a result we shall be using this hotel on a future occasion, especially as we realised that it does make a good base to investigate the Lune Valley and other local attractions. We were also impressed by the fact that an evening 'bash' taking place in the hotel caused no disturbance, even in the 'early hours.' Not every hotel we have stopped at has managed this.
