We have found hair on the bathroom every day. The cleaning is really poor
The breakfast costs 15€/ person/day and they offer poor quality of products and variety. We can not recommend this hotel at all,at list in a 4 starts expectations

Very nice hotel, with a very good restaurant, nice staff, well located, but no shuttle, but there is a bus from the airport to the hotel, room clean and confortable, really did enjoy this hotel and Lisbone is beautiful

nice spacious room 15 min. walk from metro qiet neghborhood great breakfast all the staff very helpfull with eplanations and reccomendations on sightseeing restaurants and shopping we enjoyed beeing there.

Centrally located to public transport and close to airport it is a good location to stay for a city trip to Lissabon .
The rooms are spacey with a well equipped bathroom and nice views to the surrounding.
The deck pool allows to chill and enjoy the sunset , a little gym invites as well to get fit for a lot of walking in downtown
All went well , no special comments

I stayed at this hotel with a girlfriend over the August bank holiday weekend. We specifically booked this hotel for the roof top pool, being the height of summer we thought it would be great place to relax and have a swim & sunbathe in the afternoon heat. However, on arrival back in the UK, my friend and I both suddenly became very unwell and ended up in hospital with severe dehydration. The hospital found I had contracted 'Cryptosporidium' a nasty bacteria commonly contracted from contaminated swimming pool water. Unfortunately, I cannot physically prove this bacteria came from the hotel pool, however we did not enter any other swimming pool during our holiday, and we only drank bottled water. My friend also contracted the same illness, and we both had to take extended time off work.
On arrival at the hotel we noticed the the pool looked a strange green murky/cloudy colour - not very inviting - although there were still quite a few people in the water and kids splashing about, so we carried on and had a dip and a sunbathe anyway. The water was the same colour for 2-3 days, so we supposed it was 'normal' and the pool was always that colour due to the chemicals they were 'supposedly' using. On the last day of our trip, we went for one final swim, and noticed that the pool had evidently been cleaned as the water was suddenly crystal blue, and you could see the tiles at the bottom! Very strange.
The volume of people to the size of the pool was also quite concerning, the pool is not very big. More of a waist deep plunge pool.
I have since complained to the hotel, but have received nothing other than a very blunt email from the General Manager (Pedro Encarnação) to say that I had no proof the bacteria was contracted from their hotel pool, and no other guests had complained of getting sick. They also told me that the chlorine levels were checked regularly three times a day... (I never witnessed this happening personally, but that's not to say it is untrue).
I will be taking my case to the Holiday Inn Global complaints website, to see if I can get any further, and raise awareness for the welfare of other guests. Fortunately, my friend and I are both fit and young so we were able to recover from the illness fairly quickly, however, this could be extremely dangerous for small children or people with an existing medical condition.
For these reasons, I do not recommend this hotel!
