The hotel location is excellent, breakfast buffet is also very rich, large enough rooms, everything is perfect. But the worst matter happened when I checkout. I asked the staff for the credit card deductions matters and asked for a receipt. The front desk staff was very unkind and impolite, spoiling my favor with the Holiday Inn brand.

My husband and I stayed here four nights and found everything to be excellent, including room, location and staff. We arrived by SkyBus from the airport and the hotel was a very easy walk from Southern Cross station. A stop for the free tram is just down the street from the hotel and we found it very easy to get everywhere we wanted to go during out stay.
The front desk staff was polite, helpful and friendly. We were able to check in early and the staff provided us with a map of the area and explained how to get around. We didn't need much in the way of service but it was nice to know it's available. The buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant was also very good and an excellent value for the price.
Our room was large, clean and comfortable with daily housekeeping, and the noise level in the hotel was reasonable. We live in the U.S. and don't know when/if we'll ever get back to Melbourne, but we would certainly stay here again if given the opportunity. I recommend this hotel for the comfortable room, wonderful location and great staff.

This Holiday Inn has a great group of staff, providing excellent service. The check in process was smooth, and my room was ready earlier than anticipated. The room was nice, clean and modern. Despite the current renovations occurring during the day, it wasn't very loud or distracting, and finished well before the evening. Location-wise, the free city circle tram line stop was just around the corner, making it very convenient. Overall an excellent place for business and pleasure - would visit again.

From the moment we arrived at reception until our 4 day stay ended, we experienced stellar accommodation and service from all staff. The updated rooms are brilliantly designed.....modern, spacious, and very comfortable. Loved the powerful showers ,beds and large windows. The Sirocco restaurant offered an extensive and delicious breakfast buffet. Kudos to Chef Michelle for your warm hospitality and your local knowledge tips.

This is further away from the downtown area. However, the tramp and free tramp are around the corners. Super convenience. Service is lovely. They held our bags early and late. Our room (i think all of the rooms) faces one main street or another so it does get a little bit noisy. Can't beat the location though.
