We stayed here for 3 nights and our Itinerary was to visit Duomo and Cathedral, Navigli and San Siro. Hotel:
Rooms were very nice, bed comfortable, bathroom good size with good shower.
Breakfast was good a bit slow at times to top things up and run out of Soya on our last day but in the main it was pretty good.
Bar – Expensive €7 for a pint of Morretti. Barman was a bit grumpy, we got free drinks voucher for being a Spire member but was given a small beer only, that’s never happened at any other hotel we have visited, and he clearly did not like us using the voucher. There is a bar across the road that has Menabrea and far nicer beer and only €5. We decided not to use the bar again after this and was pretty quiet most nights, no wonder.
Location:
Monumentale metro station is only a 7 min walk across the bridge and was easy to get into Duomo for shopping, Navigli for food and beers but best of all was the trip to the San Siro and back, very easy it’s on the same line M5 (Purple).
Overall we had a really good stay the location was spot on and we would recommend this to anyone visiting Milan.

I stayed in Holiday Inn for 4 nights and I can recommend it. Hotel is close to Monumentale and Garibaldi stations but my first way there was throw Garibaldi and I was scary a little. And when I reached the hotel I asked receptionist about safety way to metro and she gave me a map and described how to get to Monumentale station and how to use tram.
There are 2 disadvantages in this hotel. First, it’s close to tram ways and it’s noisy all night long. The second is that I had problems with water in sink in bathroom. I asked to fix it but water didn’t go out well and I had to open sink my own to help water to leave.

This site was selected by our travel agent as part of a major airline vacation package. It was supposed to be close to the Milan Central Station to facilitate transportation on the Malpensa Express train for our flight home from Milan's Malpensa airport. I should have read the arrangement more carefully BEFORE we started the trip. The Central Station is a 9€ taxi ride from this hotel. The Garibaldi Train Station is a five minute walk but doesn't have a rail line to the intended airport. So we must get back to the Central Station to make the required connection.
The hotel is nice enough with a pleasant and accommodating staff. But the location is far removed from major sites of interest. And when i used Google Maps to plot a walking course, the info began by stating "Use Caution". That advice, coupled with the frequent sound of police sirens heard from my second story window (identified as the first story in Europe), forewarned me of the dubious safety of the surrounding neighborhood. Also, a very busy tram station ran constantly below my window.
Enjoyed a nice, if somewhat overpriced, dinner but be it known that the hotel's restaurant doesn't open for dinner until 7:30 (19:30 on their schedule).
Do your own research and book your hotel close to the Central Station. It is the transportation hub of the city and base for bus, train, tram, and Metro lines taking you to all major sites.
Sadly, from anywhere in the city to Malpensa Airport by taxi is a set price of 100€ as of this review. The Malpensa Express train to the same airport costs 13€, leaves every 30 minutes, and takes around 50 minutes to get there. A Malpensa Express bus, also from Central Station,will do the same thing slightly cheaper.

We needed to stay close to the Garibaldi Station for our morning departure. We arrived at the Central Station by train from Genoa and took the Metro to the Garibaldi Station. The Holiday Inn was in walking distance and with our rolling carry-on suitcases, we had no trouble walking to the hotel.
In fact, we appreciated the fact that the Metro as well as the train station were so close and with our two-day Metro pass we travelled all over the city.
Pro:
Proximity to Garibaldi train station and Metro.
Courteous staff.
Easy check-in.
Comfortable bed, good lighting.
Breakfast was varied and plentiful.
Quiet.
There didn't seem to be places to eat right around the hotel but since we were out touring during the day we just ate while out. We would recommend and would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel in transit to start our Trafalgar tour. Located in the Garibaldi area of Milan. Small, but, it has everything we needed. Great staff, helpful , courteous and friendly.
Breakfast was included and there were plenty of choices.
Our room was big enough, nice stand alone shower.
Enough toiletries. Close to nice restaurants.
