Stayed here For one night Saturday. Altho check in wasn’t til 3pm, we arrived much earlier (around 11.30am) and we were able to give our car reg at reception and park in the carpark whilst we went off to do some shopping at gunwharf which is about a 15 min walk or 5 mins in a taxi.
Hotel rooms and extremely clean and comfortable, very good shower and tea and coffee facilities in room.
Bar and restaurant area is very nice, we didn’t get breakfast included but popped down Sunday morning to see how much it would be... £15 per person!! Altho a buffet so eat all you can but there is no way I would eat that much so we chose to have a walk down to the sea front and found a great little place called Joes which did a very good breakfast with a lovely sea view.
Would definitely recommend this hotel, staff very nice and location is great.

The room was scruffy and stained and small for a double at a hundred quid a night but even better was that when I arrived to meet my friends and have a quiet glass of wine, we were told they’d lost their licence. There was no notice of this on the website. Tried to tell us it was the local council’s fault. I assume this means they didn’t get their application in on time! They did tell us we could go to the corner shop and buy our own and they’d provide glasses. After we complained they went and got us a bottle of wine. All in all a terrible choice. We’ll go elsewhere next time.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, being on the border between Portsmouth & Southsea, almost opposite Clarence Pier. Buses run every 10 mins into Portsmouth from just outside the hotel or its a 15 minute walk to Gun Wharf. The hotel is clean and pleasant, and the breakfast is excellent. We had dinner in the restaurant twice during our stay and although they were both okay, it was nothing special. The Chicken Korma was entirely devoid of a creamy sauce and pretty bland! We will certainly stay again but eat out! The carpark was almost always full although they will pay for on street parking when no space is available.

In an awkward place - set amongst residential properties however it was very easy to find
Good quality rooms. A bit tired but nothing to stop you staying there. The bathroom was really small not much room in between the toilet and the door
Bed comfortable however I had to make mine myself!
On the top it looked very well made however when I got in the quilt cover was all ruffled at the bottoms of the bed. I had to take the whole thing off and put the quilt cover back on - properly
Breakfast was good with hot and cold choices although only slices of melon and not the usual diced or cubed melon to pour the natural yoghurt over - I know that won’t bother most people though.
The hotel does have a pool and gym
All in all a decent enough hotel

We used this hotel for a reunion weekend. Rooms were very good and the location was ideal for our purposes, especially access to Old Portsmouth and local restaurants. Other than a mix up on room rates, which was settled quickly, we had a great time.
