SJC has crazy hotel prices, I get that. Fortunately my business this trip was over a weekend so was able do some two nights for much less than one during the week. I would hate paying the higher rate for a nice but not amazing property.
Room was small, and had the feel of a Mad Men set decorator's house (which I love by the way). It was very clean and in reasonably good condition. Upper floor drains are slow (Not unusual). There was an ironing board but not a lot of room to use it.
For a single business traveler, or a couple without a lot of "stuff" it would be fine.
Parking is free using your validated ticket but lot not in a great area with no separation from sidewalk area. Likely wouldn't walk around too much after dark for dinner although there are establishments that are close.

Stayed here from end of September to end of October during the weekdays. Staff was very friendly and always eager to help. I checked in one Monday and I didn't get a room with a fridge but upon asking, they immediately found me another room.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn San Jose Airport many times. But by far this is the most pleasant experience I have had at this hotel. After I checked in I got a text message on my phone. It was a text from a virtual assistant from the hotel named ivy asking me if I needed anything as far as housekeeping goes. I was blown away by how quickly ivy responded. This is by far the most excellent service I've ever had at any hotel

Typical Holiday Inn. You can reach the hotel within 5 minutes from the airport. There is a restaurant in the first floor that is open late. The rooms are decent and clean. The property is large and might need an update soon. Parking is not free and costs $ 13.00 per night. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and is easily accessible from Route 280. The VTA station is a few yards from the hotel. Great value for the under $ 100 per night.

Not what I was expecting from Holiday Inn.
One of my options was a quiet corner room with a queen size. I didn’t expect a super tiny room that felt more like a large walk-in closet. Also the hotel needs updates and fast. Toilet was always hissing and about that “quiet corner” ... the room is next to the stairway and that door slams pretty hard. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel unless they would update it big time.
