SPP7on 16/11/2017 14:51Loved this hotel. It is clean and safe. They have a free bus to the train station and shopping mall every hour.
We were a family of four and had inter-connecting rooms. Rooms were big and really comfortable. Cleaning was to a very high standard.
Breakfast was really good and all the staff there were friendly and professional. One of the best breakfasts we have had. They make the kids hot chocolate and made a big deal of them, which the kids loved. Victor, thank you!
As I said all the staff members were amazing, except one! Sirie on reception was rude and really unfriendly. She never greeted us on check-in and told me that my husband had booked one of our rooms when I told her that he didn't even know we were staying there until we arrived, she kept insisting that he had booked one room?? I watched her with other guests and she was the same, rude, unprofessional and not at all friendly. I also overheard other staff comment on her rudeness. She completely ignored our kids. She needs to be trained in customer service or taken from the front of house. All of the other staff were wonderful. Special mention to the guys on the travel desk, they were a huge help to us and so friendly. Also a special mention to the lady at reception who went out of her way to help me with my boarding cards, I think her name is Martha? So sorry, I can't remember your name but you were amazing.
We would stay here again.

This hotel is very central and within walking distance to the Mall, Mandela Square, the convention centre and the Gautrain, although the hotel does provide a shuttle service. My allocated room was spacious, clean and fresh and the breakfast was even better than just adequate, with a variety above my expectations.

Retabileon 10/11/2017 11:36From the moment our shuttle dropped us off, we were welcomed by a very friendly porter who assisted us with luggage and kept us engaged whilst front desk ladies was busy assisting other guests. We had arrived way before the normal check in time however at no point were we reminded of this, I must say, this was quite refreshing to experience. The check in process went smoothly. The hotel rooms are beautiful and spacious. Dinner service and the buffet spread was on point. I enjoyed watching the chefs doing what they love. I remember watching a lady singing softly whilst she was cooking, you could see she is passionate about what she does. The bar upstairs had a Management meet and greet run where snacks and drinks were served, what a lovely ambience. One night was just not enough, we were so sad to leave. Thank you for looking after us.
Poor security makes this hotel unsafe
Kaajal Ron 07/11/2017 11:02I recently organised a big regional conference at this hotel. The service and food were generally good. We had arranged an exhibition on the 8th Floor, outside the conference venue which included some audiovisual displays. The size of our event meant that we had the entire floor to ourselves. The manager assisting us advised that our equipment would be safe in that area. At the end of the three days, 2 fairly large audiovisual monitors had been stolen. Astoundingly neither the hotel security nor their CCTV could assist us to identify the thieves or details of when the items were removed. The hotel has not accepted any responsibility for this theft of property. The hotel will be unable to ensure the safety of your property. We are very disappointed and will not use this venue again.

However, I did appreciate the location since it was next to the office I was visiting plus the shuttle services were great. Staff should be trained to be more friendly, especially during breakfast, I went two days without tea/coffee- I suppose staff were busy but still unacceptable. Lastly, kindly include shower caps in the bathroom for ladies.
