The members of our nonprofit organization enjoyed a two nights' stay and held our Friday board meeting and Saturday conference at the Holiday Inn Santa Ana. As the person assigned to book the venue, I was particularly interested in pricing and space for our needs. I was very pleased and would book it again if the opportunity arose in the future for a venue in the same vicinity. Our lunch and dinner during our board meeting was delicious; the dinner we had in the Cafe upon arrival was very tasty, and lunch buffet during our conference not only was delicious but provided variety for all dietary needs and was presented so attractively--kudos to the chef and his staff. Every request I made for assistance for our events was met with professionalism and efficiency. I couldn't have been more pleased. The courtesy shuttle eliminated the need for rental cars and made the airport to hotel commute convenient. I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Santa Ana-OC Airport.

I'm worried about the other hotels if this is really (currently) rated #1. Trip Advisor reviews let me down in this case. The experience wasn't horrible - don't get me wrong. The staff is pretty fantastic - all very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the bar/restaurant service (breakfast not as much). Here's the problem - the staff is doing the best they can with rooms that are tired and in varying need of refurbishing. I can say this because I requested a room change due to excessive noise coming from the floor above me - I believe it was from other guests but can't confirm. The first room in terms of furnishings and condition was downright depressing. The second could still use some help but was much better. For example, I didn't bring an adapter for my phone charger (USB plug in) and was surprised to see there wasn't an USB-compatible outlet anywhere - I feel like this is standard at Holiday Inn Express properties but apparently not with Holiday Inn. The second room had a different alarm clock than the first, which actually had a USB plug in so it worked out. But the bathroom tile in the first was cracked in numerous places and had a rust-stained drain. The temperature control on the wall unit was manual - cold/hot and low/high - whereas the second had a digital control to set the temp. I noticed small spots of mold in both bathrooms - there is no fan for ventilation. The best thing the rooms had going for them was the bed and pillows - VERY comfortable and soft - which I prefer. If I wanted to sleep on something that felt like plywood as some others prefer I would. Also - the onsite restaurant Panini - it was ok (server was very friendly though) - but don't expect to find a single panini on the menu...anywhere. So overall - not horrible, but based on room condition wouldn't return.

My company has used this hotel for many years, for both business meetings and overnight stays from 1 night to 12 nights. I have found the staff to be very friendly and responsive to any of my needs. The meeting rooms are always setup as requested, and the food service is exceptional. My sleeping room has always been clean and ready for me at check-in. The hotel restaurant has a variety of meals to choose from and the service has been great.

My name is Cheryl Watson and I work at the Santa Ana Chamber if Commerce. We have used Holiday Inn OC Airport for many years from 4-6 events per year! The staff is excellent, the food delicious, the prices very good and the service impeccable! We will continue to use this wonderful venue. Barbara Smith and her staff are the best! I highly recommend trying out their meeting rooms. You won’t be disappointed!

As a traveler of over 1mm/year on both pleasure and business I spend quite a bit of time in hotels. The team at this property went above and beyond my expectations for a 3 star from the General Manager to the housekeeper.
They made my stay convenient as well as efficient.
