I grew-up at a time when HI was a great chain. Now it's a H6 or S8 but they charge you $150. My meeting was in Selma so it is convenient but there was a huge bug in my bathroom and my show didn't drain.

Only 12 mile out the way from Fresno but worth the drive. Stayed one night after returning form LA. Waited to late to get a room at Holiday Inn South in Fresno. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Salma before. Staff working late Tuesday Sept 5 was friendly someone call we got the last room. Large living room with sofa sleeper, dining room area, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, stove top. (They are remodeling the hotel.) There are 3 Black Swan and Koi fish in the pond. Eating facitly on site. Enterprise on site. Chevern gas station on site. Walmart, Denny's close by.

From the time I made my reservation, I received erroneous information. I was a guest under my family reunion block. I asked the representative if the military discount was more advantageous than the family block, and the gentlemen told me no. I then looked up direct booking pricing from website, and found this not to be true. I called back and a very pleasant gentleman changed my rate to reflect military discount.
We arrive at the hotel, and we're checked in with ease and earlier than expected Yay! Our room was immaculate and was just to the right of the elevator, I believe room 228 or 238.
We received a voucher for $11 off breakfast and proceeded to the restaurant to have breakfast with my aunt, who is staying under the family block and is also diabetic.
I made my order, presented my voucher ,and asked my aunt for her voucher to present, and she replied she didn't recieve one.
The waitress explained that she would call the hotel for my aunt for authorization, and asked for her room number, room 217.
The waitress returned with my breakfast, and informed us the hotel articulated that my Aunts room wasn't eligible for the breakfast voucher.
I was perplexed, so I gave my breakfast to my aunt because she was diabetic and needed to eat to take her medication, and left the restaurant, headed to the Hotel Front Desk
I asked for the MOD (Manager on Duty) and Kiel told me that he was the MOD, evidenced my his name on the wall.
I explained our dilemma and Kiel said he was unable to assist because our family contract said that breakfast voucher is not included. I explained to Kiel, my rate was less than my Aunts, and I received the voucher...and because we booked a block of rooms we are penalized by not receiving what every other single hotel booking guest receives.
I requested my aunt receive a voucher, and Kiel told me that he needed to speak to a supervisor for authorization? Wait, a manager needs to speak to a supervisor.
He then received a call, left the desk closed the door and pulled the telephone cord behind the door.
I then asked for the General Managers information to follow up. We may need to secure alternate lodging for the next family reunion.
Kiel finally provided the voucher for my aunt. I thanked him and went back to the restaurant, where since I gave my aunt my breakfast, hers arrived and it was cold by the time I returned.
I am a front desk Supervisor at a 5 star resort in Carlsbad, so I know the challenges we sometimes get from guests, but we should go above and beyond, and this clearly wasn't done in our case.

Rooms are clean the staff is friendly location is pretty good just off the freeway . The way breakfast is set up is a little weird as they give you a voucher with an amount on it then you go to the detached restaurant and you get a menu with dishes and relative prices and another without prices. When I sat down I was asked if I wanted coffee and orange juice. I took both and found out later with the bill that the orange juice was an extra $2,50. Nobody told me anything. Other than that the stay was good.

Quite a nice hotel for a stop over , there in no eating facilities or a bar in the hotel , Eating and drinking is 20yards away at the swan court conference building .Downside again is there is no Safe provided in rooms. Free WiFi and a swimmimg pool at the back of the hotel . Staff very helpful and hotel still recommended
